So you can have a rapid update to correct things within 24 hrs, but Experian tell their staff not to tell customers this.

Not seen anything that surprises me yet, We know the systems are flawed and frequently match the accounts or CCJs against the wrong person.

  • Can kinda understand why you don't get to see potential aliases ... If they aren't necessarily yours then to show them would surely come under data protection?

In our house alone there are 3 Mimi Arc en ciels with the same name. Opening post is a nightmare lol

How would they know which person it is if the CCJ's don't have a D.O.B? Surely that would sort one of the problems out?

    That was rubbish.

And no mention that you can see your monthly-updated credit file for free with at least one agency.
  • It seemed to very much focusing on Experian.
I was a little disappointed with the fact it kept mentioned people's 'Credit Score', which as we all know, is different from lender-to-lender, as simply pure guidance from CRA.

I think it should have provided more information on how to get the statutory service, and it almost felt like it was promoting the 'premium' paid service.

Although it was quite 'mean' to Experian, I just wonder how many new '£14.95 per month' accounts they will get thanks to this program.
Thank you all for helping me make my day by saving money!
  • How are you supposed to get this 24 hour update?

Well if it's the lender who updates the records I would guess you ask the lender
