Sorry about your meeting lamewolf how annoying and inconvenient people don't think things through do they ! And don't worry I wasn't very clear and I suppose if I type it it makes it more real Dad had a cruel and debilitating illness to which there is no cure or effective treatment so he is better off where he is.

A bird has poohed on the dog blanket I had to wash twice yesterday, so Mrs Dog will be napping on the clean side of it while the dirty side is folded inside. Sometimes I think scattering bird feeders around the place is not all the pleasure it's cracked up to be. So far this year (according to OH who knows about these things) goldfinches, chaffinches, blue tits, coaltits, sparrows, collared doves and a female thrush plus my favourites - the blackbirds - which get fed on demand by whizzing up and down the communal garden in front of my office window. (We also have magpies and pigeons but I don't count them.) Later in the spring we ususally have a baby seagull at some stage which learns how to fly by low-flying down the garden, and then waddling up the paths to repeat until exhausted. They get fed dog food and has a waterbowl, which they use as a bath with a lot of splashing. We get dive-bombed by anxious parents every time we go outside.

Sorting an old, old paper tadpole which is extremely time-consuming but will be helpful when it's done.

Have carpetted the stairs and swept the kitchen and I'll dy$on the whole house in a bit, when I can be bothered.
    Better is good enough.
  • Not doing well today - using the old laptop - which I prefer but it has low memory so have spent the morning trying to sort photos!!! Not usually my domain but why oh why do we have two copies of so many!!!! Have deleted loads and named folders so can sort better. Fear that will be another day as my neck and shoulders are seized now.

Still fretting about something totally out of my control so will go and empty DW and hoover right through to keep myself occupied. Have also decluttered some programmes so now got 48% free!!!

    See you tomorrow everyone. xx

    Afternoon all

Flying failing so far this week but making good paperwork progress so need to stick with that for the minute.

    Another bed stripped
    WM2 on
    Kitchen tidied and wiped

Not a total flop but could do better. Be back late.
:naughty: I got told off last time I used the f-word.:D

I have to confess to doing very little today; I still feel rough after last night's debacle.:( I have cleared a tonne of email (deleted as dealt with ;)) and made a loaf; just need to tackle the pile of washing up now. I shall do that in a minute. Planning a wax bath for my hands and feet tonight.

Home again from a good holiday to a nice tidy house, and the week's washing can wait until tomorrow. In our absence, more bare-root plants have arrived so I must pot them up this afternoon. The ones I planted before we went away are doing very nicely :)

My shoulder is still sore from the flying fall on Saturday but improving slowly. I can now touch the top of my head without squealing, but I can't yet reach across the table to pick up a full mug of coffee :( DH is insisting that I ring the physio again tomorrow.

While DH is out this evening, I will write holiday postcards :rotfl: I'm also going to look at my garden design and then order some more plants :D

Sorry your CAMRA meeting was a shambles, LW. DH had some very nice ales on holiday which I sampled too. The best one travelled no more than 10 yards from the vat to our table
  • ionafan glad your holiday was good and glad your shoulder is improving

LW sorry your meeting was a farce

Bl00dy hell Lamewolf - what a shower of no brainers they must be! No refreshments - unbelievable.

Have skived off staff meeting - have pains. Including one in the neck. And a stabbing pain - that'll be in the back then;) It just gets 'better' *rolls eyes*. (Nurofen taken for actual pain)

Afternoon all. Am tired! Worked last night then had a coffee catch up with friend with BC at 10:30. Thought it would be ok as kids see MiL on Tuesdays. Only, as DD is incapable of sending a clear text, she arrived home at 4 and her door slamming woke me up. So I've had 4 hours- well, less. It's going to be a long night!

Right, got my excuses in, now off to catch up on Fred :o

  • LW - I might just take you up on that offer, we will see how DS feels about the scan nearer the time.

Have just spent 2 hours scrubbing the kitchen, I have moved everything off the worktops and shelves, pulled out the microwave and emptied the wine rack (I did put the wine back rather than drinking it!). It has to be said that my kitchen wasnt as clean as I thought it was!

Still have the floor to do but I will wait until I have cooked tea. Oh and I have binned a few knick knacks that were gathering dust on the shelf.

Off to feed the family then finish the kitchen and may just hoover the living room too as I didnt get this done yesterday.
