Hugs valli and anti"git" vibes for the workplace ;)

Sorry to hear about your dad sammiell

Not an awful lot happening here. Kids snacking and watching TV. I'm browsing. Tried to get a docs or even HV () appointment earlier for DD but that's not happening. Will call again tomorrow.

Stayed in the office at lunchtime and had a sort through the finances. Can't seem to stop spending. Shall rein it in a bit :o having said that I need to replace the leggings DD has just torn through both knees in the school playground :/

Have a case of the CBA today. At least I don't need to cook, the is enough of last nights for my supper when the littlies are away to bed. Hmm, might have it now actually...

Feeling really tired today but had good day - Knit & Natter, paid stuff, little walk with Pip, done all today's list, cooked roast chicken and washed up. DS about to go to bed and DD doing homework. Just found out got to pay another instalment for Yr 6 trip in June; seems like non stop demands for money at the moment.

Lamewolf as others have said I'm sorry it was so carp yesterday at your meeting; not surprised you're not keen to go again.

Kazwookie if you need a hand finishing off the apple crumble just give me a shout ;)!

Bossymoo nice when you've got left overs from the night before isn't it! Have you had any more dates lately?

Yorkshirelass goodness it sounds like you've been really busy. Sorry if I've missed it but did you say if DS has had an MRI before? Last time I had one I had music playing and it wasn't a problem but then I have the benefit of not being claustrophobic (sp?) Taking him shopping sounds like a very good idea; nothing wrong with a bit of bribery as far as I can see ;)

Right, time for DS's bedtime story and snuggle :A

Hi Everyone! Kept forgetting to pop in last week and update but I'm back this week. So far I have managed:

Monday - Hall, Stairs, Landing and study/Family Room or similar

    Basic Flying

[STRIKE]Clear the floors and hoover them
    15 minutes tidying this area
    Dust any fluffy surfaces
Clean the downstairs loo and basin[/STRIKE]

    Deep Cleaning
[STRIKE]Remove any marks from the walls/paintwork - the magic erasers work well
Give keyboard and mouse a good clean - photograph your keyboard on your phone, remove all the keys and wash in warm soappy water - when dry put back (glad you took that picture!)
Go on a cobweb hunt, is it dusty behind your desk[/STRIKE]

    Decluttering
Sort out that pile of papers/magazines/catalogues and recylce what you can
[STRIKE]Delete some emails, favourites, blurry photos you choose
Sort out a stationery or desk drawer - do you need all those rubber bands and envelopes[/STRIKE]

Tuesday - Kitchen and Dining Room

    Basic Flying

[STRIKE]Sweep and mop the floor - could't let the mop brigade down[/STRIKE]
    Clear and wipe table
[STRIKE]Wipe the work tops, remove all things which don't belong here
Clean the sink, drainer and taps[/STRIKE]

    Deep Cleaning
[STRIKE]Clean the extractor hood and splashback
Clean the hob, under all the dials too[/STRIKE]

    Decluttering
    [STRIKE]Sort out a hotspot[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Sort out all your vases - are there any to rehome
Do you have any pet pest control you may need for when the bugs awaken?
Charge that epilady or warm your wax, it's time to declutter your winter fur. Alternatively trim and paint your trotters.[/STRIKE]

Not done too badly I think. But then I look at the bedroom and relise that's where we dump everything that doesn't have a home, so that room is a mess! That's the problem with living in a small one bedroom flat. Really need to get some new drawers but it appears that everyone we approach on gumtree can't be bothered to get back to us :( Hope everyone is keeping well.

Had a quick LR tidy too. Now time for a spot of tv!

No, just the one a week ago. There was some contact with another but he seemed to think incessant texting and late night calls (asking where I lived and if I wanted company? Really? A stranger off t'interweb?) was acceptable so I ditched him. Although it took a couple of days for the message to sink in  think he's a bit of a n0b but never mind. It's all very entertaining though. I had one message from someone else just saying
    Wow
    your fit

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    I was tempted to reply
    1 err no I'm not
2 how can you tell from a head and shoulders pic
    And
    3 it's you're

Ahh Bossy, correcting his grammar when he paid you a compliment, how ready are you to date!

I thought the whole point of CAMRA was the booze. That meeting sounds like a temperance one, Lamewolf. Weird. (There was a Temperance Society in Plymouth before the war but it got bombed, so they built a pub on the site afterwards - makes me laugh every time I go in there.)

Keep it up Valli. You doing my soul good, not letting them get you down. I could never understand why earning a living had to be so difficult - the work wasn't the problem. Hell is other people - and you don't find me quoting Satre very often.

Towels tumbled, bathroom sparkly, kitchen sink, hob, vacuuming all done, and several other jobs started. 'Nuf for one day, I think.
    Better is good enough.
  • Evening everyone.
Another goodish day here. Dh was on his first night shift last night so I had to be really quiet.
    DWx1
    WMx2
    TDx2
    Clothes on airers,
Kitchen worktops cleared and cleaned, floor swept and mopped and extractor fan, hob and oven doors cleaned. Actually really mad with myself as have only had the cooker a few months... I must clean it more often!!!

Lunches are ready for tomorrow and kids are showered and in bed (be lucky if they asleep before 10 though).

Thank you o previous poster, on tomorrows list is sort out school trip payments for ds's, completely forgot that was due. Must fetch the pile of swimming badges that are piling up on the shelf (dd1 has just got 3 more tonight).

Right better go feed the dh before he goes to work.

  • Deco - well done - I forget if you are as old as us perimeno gang (apologies if you are not) but it can make anxiety worse.

No Dusty I hope I'm not perimeno as I'm only 32! I think it's a combo of wanting the changes I want, wanting them to happen next week *rolls eyes* (patience is not my virtue) and also accepting/dealing with the last 4 years.

Fluffy boy cat taken to the vets for his booster (nods to dancemum it must be the season). Fluffy boy is so chilled, he laid on the bench without a care in the world. He even cuddled the vet who was as enamoured with him as he was with her. He's currently asleep on my lap as I type.

Do any of you flyladies do any martial arts? I want/need to do some form of exercise and desperately need some body confidence (or more to the point some confidence) but I'm not keen on being touched (I've looked at tai chi but there aren't any classes locally after work hours). Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

Samiell sorry to hear about your dad, hugs to you x
LW no refreshments! *words fail me*

    Goodnight all

LR windows cleaned inside & out
    Ground floor henried
    Few bags returned upstairs
Amazing what having a meeting at home does for encouragement.

DS2's new befriender visited. She seems good but he is resisting having one. He said he would prefer someone his age and with his interests. Can't blame him. I wish some of our relatives would take son interest in him.

    DS2 bathed
    Dinner made and cleared etc

DS1 is complaining as when kids lower down the school get sent to isolation, they are sent in to 6th form lessons and this disturbs them as they won't shut up. 5 were sent into his class today whilst he was sitting an exam. Not on really.

    Zumba attended

Samiell Sorry for your loss x

Nods back to Deco (vets must be doing well mine was just short of £80 )
Sorry meeting wasn't good LW, hope you have some more Dogs soon.
Pigpen hope your toe is better soon.

Complain. This is not on. Used to happen to DS1 in AS Maths and was a nightmare. Ask the school what the strategy is for isolation, another class is not isolation. Is it one subject doing it? I wonder if it is just one faculty using this with a teacher who is struggling with classroom mangement.

    Tomorrow I shall fly!

Piggers how did OH get on with his interviewy thing?

    Lamewolf huggles

Mrs MP - a Governing letter? My word, never had one, everything by email!
