Have updated my Facebook comment and managed to downgrade to 1 star:T :T
Just read it....brilliant!! :rotfl: Maybe in view of that someone at iii might get their backside in gear to try to provide you with something resembling a service...and an apology hopefully! Sending a customer a message like that isn't a very good advertisement for their 'services', is it?!0 -
I don't get what the problem is. The regulator says pay dividends within 10 days. III pay dividends within 10 days (right? Always have for me.)
Some people seem to want them yesterday, III say look elsewhere & good luck with that. Seems fair. I'd probably say the same if I was running a low cost share holding service for small investors. 20% of your clients cause 80% of your heartache!0 -

Indeed. If the date of getting dividends in the minimal number of days is that important to you then go elsewhere. Getting dividends is important to me as it forms part of my retirement income but a day or two either way really is irrelevant. Any sensible income management strategy should include a sizable cash buffer anyway.0 -

Well, wrong actually! If they always have for you then you are extremely fortunate. Many of us have had to wait weeks on end for them to pay out dividends, and they appear to be the only company that doesn't pay them out on the due date. And yes Linton, a day or two either way is no big deal, we wouldn't be jumping up and down over a day or two, but weeks or months and no response to messages is quite another.0 -
Keeping a light digital footprint...
This post is quite old, and as it contained personal info, I have deleted it for security.
PM me if you would like to know what it said or discuss any aspect.0 -
Racing Blue you are indeed very fortunate and I hope your run of good fortune continues. I was a customer of theirs years ago and just held shares and admittedly in those days I encountered no problem with them other than the fact that they didn't alert you if they sent you a secure message, as HL do. However since I began the process of transferring my funds to them back in February I have experienced nothing but stress, hassle and incompetence. If I knew then what I know now I would not have moved to them. However I am pleased for you that your experience has been more positive.0

Do you consider it acceptable for III to pay fund dividends weeks (not days) after the fund has made payment? I don't.0 -

What the problem is is that III DON'T pay dividends within 10 days - OK? For example, its now the 10th December and I am still waiting for III to credit dividends that FUNDS paid out in November.
Do you think that is fair?0 -

But do you hold funds or shares? The majority of the reported problems have been with funds.racing_blue wrote: »We have never had reason to contact iii by phone or email,
That would be a highly satisfactory situation. I can only wish I could say that. However the only way for me to be in the position was to leave (and even thats not true since they won't acknowledge the closure of my account!).0
