For anyone wondering what might be happening regarding conversion to clean funds at II, this is their response to my query:-

I can confirm we did aim to have all dirty to clean class conversations initiated last month and were looking to have these completed as quickly as possible, however recently other areas within the business have taken priority and we will no longer be able to do these at the moment. The regulatory requirement is to have all funds converted by 2016 and at present we can confirm that we now aim to have all of these completed before summer 2015.

We may consider doing these earlier, however at the moment we have no immediate plans to convert your holdings. We will update you nearer the time regarding when your holdings will be transferred.

I can confirm that we are still within the regulatory ten working day timescale for paying distributions to your account. We would like to inform you of this as this is the regulatory requirement and the timescale which we are currently working towards.
Is that an admission that they are working towards (but are not currently compliant with) regulatory requirements? The rest of the message reads as if this is not an area in which they believe they can improve. Quite sickening if true!

    Get out guys.
Best days work I ever did and by selling and transferring cash it all took only around 10 days.

Hi Le loup, may I ask where you have transferred to and whether you are happy with their service?

Thanks for the reply J. I have now posted their comment on Facebook:T

That's exactly what I was going to recommend - how can they suggest that if you dare to ask that they pay your dividends when they are due then you should look elsewhere!! And they claim to be offering an investment service!! I would mention that on facebook as well, not just post their comment!! Just found it...how come you gave them 2 stars in your rating? You must have been feeling overly generous!! ;)

The 2stars were an oversight as II's service does not warrant any stars at all. Unfortunately once my comment was posted on Facebook I did not find a way to edit the star rating down! :(

I moved from Hargreaves Lansdown to III for reasons of price alone. I then experienced why III are so cheap - they are incompetent, give no service AND DON'T EVEN CARE THAT THEY DON'T.
So, tail between my legs, I went back to Hargreaves Lansdown who are expensive but give excellent service AND DO CARE.

As it happened, it forced me into a rethink about my portfolios and instead of paying many hundreds of pounds, I now invest, not in fund but Investment Trusts, which gives me a price limit of £45 a year. So all in all, I am still quids in and get a very good service.
My heart goes out to the poor people who are still struggling with this bunch of nincompoops!

You should go back in and see if you can edit what you have written to reflect that even if you can't actually change the star rating!! Then at least people reading it would know.... ;)

I agree with you, as far as iii are concerned you get what you pay for, and HL do give an excellent service but as you say they are expensive. May I suggest, if you are investing in investment trusts, that you consider SVS Securities? You can hold investment trusts both inside and outside an ISA with them and they charge no fees at all other than £5.75 per trade (any size). I hold shares and investment trusts with them and have been very happy...and they pay the dividends on time!! Worth a thought :)
