This is more than the "up to ten working days" I was quoted - ( I'm still waiting for my 31st July distribution and will be on the phone to II on Friday if no joy).

    Have you phoned to enquire?

    Have submitted a formal complaint.

A relative was also expecting a payment. Information now is that up to "ten working days" means up to ten working days after II have received the bulk distribution from the Fund Group via their intermediary FNZ........... The bulk distribution might be by electronic transfer but could be by cheque!

And once received from FNZ there has to be a reconciliation by II of the amount received with the number of units they hold as nominees - if there is a discrepancy, no payments can be made to II clients until the matter is resolved.

The payments to II clients are made manually by the dividend team......

What can one say? Back to the future? Future to back?

Anyone thinking of crawling back to HL, they have just removed some of their more controversial charges.

This is a step in the right direction, but until they decide to move to a fixed pricing structure for OEICs they are still a no-go for me. Will personally try Halifax next...

Would it be churlish to ask: for what month?

The distribution was paid on 31 July.......
  • Yes HL have removed a few of their more bizarre / extreme charges but are still very expensive for larger balances.

Whoever thought the probate charge was a good ideally needs their head examining - it would be always be levied at a difficult time for the client, its not a big cost to HL, its not a frequent event and so the income for HL was never going to be huge despite the OTT charge - the bad PR was never going to be worth it.

And their policy of offering special deals only once they know you are leaving isn't good either.

    Wow!
    I bet you're arranging a party.

I have four due from 15 July to 1 August ... none paid.

As I can't therefore have my own party, can I come to yours? I promise not to ask too many questions of the "relatives", should they be present.

I'm not allowed to reveal my whereabouts ( "I'd have to kill you.....):rotfl:

It's going to have to be a virtual party:beer:

And the relatives are still short of some of their dividends so are commiserating with you.......
