And even more mysterious than my relatives is II's custodian.....
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5005836 post 60.....
  • Over two months since funds were re-registered to II (which was itself four months after I had initiated the ISA transfer) - only around a third by value now show and they now seem to have stopped even promising when it will be resolved. Not overly impressed would be understating how I feel at the moment.

The FCA must surely at some point intervene and set out some minimum performance standards for such transfers?

i'm finding III service becoming steadily worse. nowadays, presumably so swamped with complaints, they just seem to ignore them altogether. i raised a 'formal complaint' but they just ignored it, and told me about some other stuff:wall:

Me too - I sent an official complaint on Monday and have heard nothing back.....
Not sure what to do next. I am just so fed up with the whole thing now; if I could stomach it, I'd begin the transfer-out of those funds that have arrived with III.
But the thought of another six months embroiled in this process.......words fail me.

agreed. it's all a bit hopeless. i have remained hopeful that it will all improve...but they seem to have stopped even responding to messages drawing their attention to problems now:(

.... but it doesn't have to be like that. Remember that I found the remedy. No pain involved and a great deal of self satisfaction.
  • Hi,

    I agree with above comments.

Nearly 5 months now for me, recent messages ignored, they seem not able to cope.

Various mistakes, 'we'll chase up XXX, but I had no funds with XXX', Isa funds transferred into Trading Account, and more.

I asked in a formal complaint about loss of loyalty bonus/fund rebate, but it will take 30 days for a reply.

Was told in the happy halcyon days of innocence, before I initiated my transfer, that the transfer would take about 6-8 weeks, could I claim to FOS that I was mislead?

Anybody thinking of transferring out, with their 'if not happy get out in first year' offer, though as mentioned above, could I take another 5/6 months of stress, will I live long enough?

There should be a health warning on transfers, I kinda wish now had stayed with HL and their 0.25% deal, more expensive, but less stress, and at least they were quick to reply to queries.

It's an especially tricky situation for those whose current transfers have still not completed. It's probably not a good idea to try and move again until the current transfer is complete. Otherwise, all sorts of other problems could be brought to bear.

Any claim to the FOS would need to be for a specific financial loss you incurred because of the delay. This could include payment of fees when you were not being provided with a service, or, if you were prevented from placing a specific trade, compensation for trading under less favourable terms because of the delay.

I'm not ruling it out. I've converted most of my holdings to ETFs and ITs, so my portfolio is now a lot more cost-effective to hold on another platform (even at HL). However, to be honest, the only remaining problem I'm aware of at aye aye is very late payment of dividends on funds (doesn't seem to affect equities, ETFs, ITs etc), which (a) I don't care about because I reinvest any income I receive and (b) doesn't really affect me as any remaining funds I hold are Acc units.

I would caution against transferring again simply because of bad transfer experiences. If there's something about the day to day running of your account you don't like, then it makes sense to use that 12 month 'get out of jail free' option, but if not then it may be worth sticking around for a while and it has been shown that a transfer out in cash is fairly quick if things deteriorate.

The prompt dividend payment into my husband's account was, indeed, from ITs; the dividends that are over two weeks late and still not showing are from UTs.
I won't transfer out until the transfer in is completed and I have given things a chance to run smoothly.
However, as I have previously said, it is the lack of communication that I find most worrying and it is this that has seriously knocked my confidence in the company.
