Hi,
I'm the same 3 tax statements, though third is same as first, and I could work it out myself as only 3 lots of share dividends.
My first conversion was to be 15th Dec, still nothing.
When with HL I just trusted them, didn't have to keep checking, suppose that's why it costs more with HL.0 -

My annual tax statement has been reissued 29/12/15. This is the third statement (consecutive months) and I really struggle now to devote the time and effort to do line by line checks on everything this company does. Though I will have to eventually. Does anyone know if they have got it right at last?
I have had notification that some of my funds are being converted to clean units. The first one was dated 17 December (Aberdeen emerging Markets) and it hasn't happened yet. How long is this currently taking, and do I really have to check all this as well? Will they provide the information to do so by providing the unit prices on conversion? In the past I would have taken this on trust?
Re: tax statement I'm afraid I think the only way to know if they have got it right is to check it yourself. Mine is finally correct but it took 5 attempts to get it that way, all prompted by me.
Like you my notifications about clean fund conversion said that they were supposed to start from 17th December and like you nothing has happened yet. I think the answer to your question is 'how long is a piece of string'?!?! I would advise checking every day. Back in October they converted three of my funds to clean class because they were not paying rebate commission properly. When it goes through you will see a purchase and a sale listed in your trading history. No price will be given, just the no. of units bought and the no. of units sold and there will be no contract note available with any more details than that. That is why it is so important that you monitor it and check the price of the 2 funds on the day that the conversion happens so that you can check that you have not been short changed. With 2 of my funds the difference in value was less than £1 which I could live with but for one of them the difference was greater. I raised the issue, they tried to fob me off but then I found that they had subsequently credited me with 3 extra units. They never advised me that they had done this, I just happened to see it on my account, fortunately before I wasted my time messaging them about it again. It's up to you but personally I don't think there is any short cut and checking will be a necessity because one thing is for certain, there are going to be a lot of mistakes made along the way, especially when they are doing it on this sort of scale. They converted those 3 funds of mine at a time when they had not begun the conversions en masse and still managed to get 1 out of the 3 wrong so it does not bode well.....0 -
thanks Julia and frugal your answers confirmed my worst fears. I'm not surprised though.
I wish I could charge II for the time it takes to check everything!0 -

Hi,
well they've done my first conversion yesterday, was supposed to start 15th Dec.
No notification, just happened to check account, and as mentioned above, number sold and number bought, no price information or total value of transaction, and it looks as though they have dealt at closing prices on 31 Dec.
I'll just have to keep checking daily.0 -
I'm still waiting for any of my conversions to take place.
II have told me that the following information would be provided for each conversion.
"In respect of the Dirty to Clean conversion, we will be providing clients with a conversion rate. You will also be able to see the number of units in and out on the Trading History tab once the conversion is complete.
Your investment will not change from the original fund to the new clean alternative as your holdings will be converted on a value to value basis. However, you may see a difference in the quantity of units received in the new fund. "
Maybe check the history tab to see if the info has been posted.0 -
Hi,
it was Trading History where I found the details, only units sold/bought, no monetary values or prices.0 -
A definite improvement - all three dividends due end December now received and five working days having elapsed from date of transfer, I am assuming that my ISA transfer money will actually be shown as available to invest rather than simply as cash......0

Available today and I have traded successfully without hitches, so for the moment, all seems fine.....:)0 -
The 3 conversions to clean class that they told me would begin on 17th December are finally complete, two on the 6th and one today. I have checked them and all three are in order but I hesitated to post on here as I don't want to tempt fate.......there are an awful lot more to go!!!! Fingers crossed0
