Still, the money I’ve saved has enabled me to purchase a years supply of vodka…

    Eases the pain?;)

I've raised a complaint with II regarding the delay in providing the tax vouchers but was told by their Complaints Department that there is no set timeframe within the organisation for the Tax Vouchers to be made available. The anticipated date is the end of the third quarter. Again these are prepared manually, how pathetic.

I am keen to review the tax vouchers as it will be the only way to check whether equalisation payments have been credited correctly!

It is completely unacceptable for them not to provide the tax voucher until the third quarter and I am pretty sure that HMRC could fine them for not supplying the information within a reasonable timeframe. As for me, I didn't bother to wait, I worked the figures out for myself from the entries on my account and submitted my tax reclaim - I don't see why I should be forced to wait months on end to receive the tax rebate to which I am entitled due to III's ineptitude.

Fortunately I kept my trading account with HL as I mainly hold ITs and shares and the cost is capped. Due to II's pricing I suspected that the back end systems would be poor (unfortunately I was proved to be correct on this). HL consolidated tax voucher is first class and produced in May. On request HL will also produce a statement of equalisation payments which can be used in CGT calculations.

I hold a SIPP and ISA with II which do not impact on my tax return :) but I was told that 'equalisation' payments will show on the consolidated tax vouchers. II do not post equalisation transactions and I suspect that when I do eventually receive the tax vouchers they may contain errors.
  • Surprised to read there's no tax voucher yet. What a shower of...

I thought I was free of these charlatans, having transferred out a while ago, but also have not received a tax certificate, and have had no reply for my written request for one. Also my online access has been deleted, so I can not access my records there.

I'm writing again, reminding them of their responsibility under the Income Tax Act 2007 (Section 975) to provide a tax certificate upon my written request. I'd be very happy if anybody here also wants to join in with this approach.

I've already got a formal complaint in with them regarding missing tax credits for net interest distributions. Initially, they closed my complaint without resolving it. I then told them I was going to the FOS and they suddenly sprung into action and confirmed they had reopened it. It's been a few weeks now and they have not followed FCA guidlines to keep me informed (last contact I had was confirmation that they had reopened the complaint), so I'm inclined just to proceed to the FOS (they are well outside the 8 week time limit now owing to their administrative blunder).
  • Hi,

fund rebate statement now available for me, though still no tax voucher yet.

Didn't get a message alert, so check your document library.

    Thanks frugal,

I get more up to date information here, than from II.
  • I notice that funds get updated at 11pm in II, is there a site I can visit which shows them earlier?
