Same thing happened to me with one of my November dividends. Chased it up in Jan, as I had been too busy over Christmas & New Year, plus of course they would have been closed for a lot of days.

Received it with apologies middle Jan - they had forgotten me!

I’ve never not received a dividend eventually, and they are always correct. So I’m taking a much more relaxed approach now. Won’t even be looking for my June payments for a couple of weeks. If they turn up sooner, it’s a bonus!;)

The problem is, although you say you have never not received a dividend eventually, how many would you not have received if you had not been on the ball and chased them up? It is not acceptable that their level of competence is so poor that their customers are constantly having to chase things up and check everything they do because there are so many errors and omissions.

I totally agree Le Loop & Julia.

Fortunately I only have nine dividend paying funds to keep track of (now spreadsheeted for the whole year ahead - and highlighted when received!), so it’s not hard to keep track.

Totally unacceptable though, and I will transfer out when I find a suitable permanent home for my investments. Unless the service improves very rapidly.

They do seem to have improved a little. I received two of my June dividends on the 3rd July. Still awaiting the final one though. So they could keep my business… just!

My delay in transferring away is mainly due to still holding mostly “dirty” units, and the broker which looks best for me (iWeb), doesn’t convert them on transfer and can’t give a conversion timescale yet, so a move now would cost me a lot in lost rebates.

I could of course transfer to a broker which converts units during the move, and then transfer again to iWeb. But two transfers, one after the other, seems like asking for trouble!

Not too bad this month - all received by today!

As for transferring out, the thought is too much to bear....and I get wallet ache at the thought..:)

My dirty funds converted a few weeks after I moved to iWeb. Not all at once, just seemed to happen. They could not give me a date when I enquired beforehand either.

Just to put some perspective on how bad II actually are, around 95% of my dividends arrived late, some would take between 2-4 weeks, if I chase them up.

My new brokers about 95% arrive on the day of the payment and the rest usually the next day. This costs me an extra £30 per qtr. Secure message are normally replied to within 24 hours and actioned within 48 hours. Tax credits are paid every month and always on the 17th or the next working day.

This is what paying more can do for you.

Agreed. My current broker has never paid a dividend more than a day late. Normally they are in my account on the due date.
