I actually moved to AJ Bell because it suited my investment style, I would never recommend the same to others, it really does depend of how you invest, and what you invest in, to find your best provider. At the moment I am happy with AJ Bell, most of my dividends are paid on time or the day or two after. If they do miss something, I send them an secure message and normally within a day or two everything is sorted.
Yes it costs me more, but it was costing me a fortune in phones calls , time and complaints to the FCA with II. So I consider it money well spent.0 -
With HL and invested in 10 income funds in preparation for retirement. To date 8 of the funds have produced income exactly on the day expected with the other 2 not due yet. Suspect HL charges higher than others but maybe you get what you pay for.0

If I were dependent on the income, I might feel that it was worth paying HL's charges - I'm not, so that while I find the late payment annoying, and the sheer inconsistency inexplicable, I'm not annoyed enough to pay HL several hundred pounds a year......;)0 -
This is my justification for sticking around as well. To be honest, my only ongoing issue is slow payment of tax credits (applies to one bond fund). All my dividends from my investment trusts and ETFs are getting paid on time.I'm not annoyed enough to pay HL several hundred pounds a year0 -
And the dividend team's on the job in respect of my dividends - it's a promise.....:)0

Those team members have been beavering away - IPD has arrived - just IPGD to go!
Honestly, it's like pulling teeth.....:eek:0 -
For myself it doesn't work out to be too expensive with AJ Bell, I pay 0.2% a year up to a maximum of £200 a year, and only £4.95 per trade. So basically the first £100,000 I pay the 0.2%, and everything else is free, so in fact when you work it out I pay less than 0.2% on my entire portfolio. The more I put it, the cheaper it gets. Yes it doesn't compare well to II. But to the likes of HL it's a lot cheaper, and I end up with my dividends being paid on time, Only for an extra £120 a year. Which is cheaper than the £600 a year I would have to pay HL.0

I still haven’t received my Newton Asian dividend yet… You’d think that dividends from the same fund & unit class would all pay out together.juliamarsh wrote: »3 of my outstanding dividends have arrived with III today including - shock - Newton Asian Income!! Quite early for that one, only 16 days late!! 2 still to come from May.
