So far ... reasonable.
Did a couple of deals - all handled on time - contract notes a bit late. Nothing of consequence.
Telephone support - good.0 -
im glad, LL.
the company holding my ISA and SIPP is important to me, and im just a bit twitchy about them.. messages are certainly sent with no knowledge of previous communication, and it all just feels a bit amateurish.
i hope they prove me wrong. otherwise, they may have to be a temporary stop en route to someone else:think:0 -
You get there in the end - but I do not like the way the website seems to return to trading account by default when you have chosen ISA option
If I choose ISA I do not want to keep returning to a default screen - it should take me to a separate ISA area and remain within that zone until I have finished
It seems glitchy to me and the person on the phone was talking me through work arounds - there should not need to be work arounds it should work one way and properly
I think the interface is poor - HL is a million miles ahead in terms of Website - look and useability and had they offered me one of the 0.25% retention deals - knowing what I know now I would have stayed with them
Bottom line cheap website0 -

i think you make valid points Socrates. i haven't done any trading yet though, as i am waiting for most holdings and funds to transfer across from HL. it is easy to take a good website for granted, and III could certainly be improved. but at the same time the costs of investing are very important.0 -
You also have to advise ii of the Original Book Costs - of the funds you hold - otherwise they will always show 0.00% in most of the columns and you do not know where you stand - so far this is the most annoying feature of the transfer0

Oh! Minor compared to your first point.
I read sometime ago - can't remember where - that II's investor were putting in a big chunk of cash to, among other things, improve the website.0 -
i agree LL, minor... as it happens most of my investements were originally exactly the same value...and it's what theyre worth now that i am always keeping a weather eye on.
and yes, i read that too. III.co.uk should be improving. and, as we have confirmed, it could do with it.0 -

You can change your default account so that it defaults to your ISA rather than your trading account, but I agree, the website isn't good.
There are security issues as well. For example, if you leave your PC unattended beyond their inactivity timeout, and then choose a menu option such as "Account Overview" when you return, it will display that (confidential) data for a short while before putting up the login screen.
Hopefully they will be improving the website soon....0 -
did finally get a SM from them this afternoon0

Anyone know if I'll have to wait until the settlement date in order to reinvest the proceeds?
Edit: Just spoke to them and apparently they are currently experiencing delays getting responses back from the fund managers... and the proceeds are (normally) available for reinvestment immediately after the deal is executed.0
