In my thru lounge/diner I have two large, framed limited edition photographs hanging on the wall down one side of the room, the other side is currently blank but I so have some other pictures to go up, I also have my clock (I guess it should have been a kitchen clock because it is chrome but it has large numbers so that I can see it because I have a visual impairment).
My hall is due to have a picture put on the wall there too - an oil painting bought with an inheritance.
My bedroom has my grandma's mirror on one wall (this was left to me after she passed away and was something that I had always loved) and over my bed I have a print that I got from Dunelm as it was cheaper than buying wallpaper for a feature wall plus I can change the picture if I want.
I like to have things on the wall and ornaments on some windowsills and on the mantelpiece (not cluttered) because I live in a home - I have a friend who has nothing on the walls or even dust catchers as she calls them but her home does not feel like a home it feels very clinical.0 -
Lovely big mirror carefully brought from our last home which now has a big crack in it when I last put the gas fire on
(Methinks I have a birds nest in our chimney which means the ch/breast has got too hot.)0 -
Lots of cobwebs at the moment.
I should try and get domesticated but I never to have the time lol2014 Target;

On the fireplace I have 3 prints in black frames, one is of butterflys with their latin names, its a page from an old text book, one is a head with the parts of the brain coloured and labeled, the title is A Picture Of Good Health, again from an old book and a black and white print of the chemical symbol Barium.
On the wall opposite the window I have a huge painting that my mum's husband did, it is done on plywood and is a mix of colours and textures.
in the alcove is a big print of my son, it's a picture I took in cornwall if him looking down at the sand on the beach, it's in profile, very muted colour, almost a silhouette with the sunset reflected in the wet sand, it's beautiful if I say so myself.
In the other alcove I have a big print in black and white of an old jetty leading to the sea in Wales and if you look closely you can see pukkadad and the kids stood at the end.
At the top of my stairs I have black frames with wedding photos, ours, my parents, the in laws, pukkadads nan and gramps, my nan and gramps and my sister's.
I also have some very old pictures of my mils grandmother as a child with her family, its a typical victorian portrait, and pukkadads great grandparents.
I love it its such a wonderful show of history and visitors always stop to look.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
Just remembered that upstairs in the back bedroom we have a black and white framed picture of Madison Square Gardens New York, and the bit where they out the stars name who is performing there has my husbands name on it!
At the bottom of the loft room stairs there is a pop art Wonder Woman poster displayed in a clip frame.
The bit of wall facing you when coming down the stairs has 2 B&W prints, one of the Statue of Liberty when it was still in Paris and the other one I think is of London (can't remember lol!)
In our bedroom, we don't have much up really, just a heart made of flowers that I carried at my wedding.
We also have a really cool piece of work done by a spray paint street artist which was done in Palm Springs, it's of the New York Skyline before 911 with the twin towers. We were there about 2 weeks after 911, and he was painting these. I love the meaning behind works of art. This has an American eagle and American Flag behind the skyline. We don't have that up at the moment (we did but it got taken down for some reason), I think I might put it on the stairs.0 -
Ours is a total mismatch!!!
Living room: Huge over mantle mirror, eagle cross stitch made by DH's Gran, DH's granddad's medals, certificate and photo in a box frame, original pencil sketch of our cat.
Kitchen: Just a clock! No more wall space! Oh, and at the bottom of the stairs a huge frame with lots of spaces in with wedding and honeymoon pics in. We'll add baby pics when he/she arrives in the very near future.
Conservatory: Limited edition photo of local beauty spot by a local photographer, which was an 18th birthday present from my Dad.
Downstairs loo: Limited edition print "Gir-raft" of a giraffe standing in a flood with lots of other animals escaping the flood waters by clambering up the giraffe. This was another present, I think from my stepmum. Makes interesting viewing on a "long job"
Stairs/Landing: Canvas of 2 tigers in rainbow colours... really cheap but we both loved it, so we bought it! another eagle cross stitch by DH's gran. 2 limited edition prints of birds given to DH by his mum on his 18th. (I hate these, but they are important to him!) Photo collage from our first ever holiday together.
Our bedroom: Huge dandelion vinyl wall art in white on purple feature wall. The words from our first dance song in hearts in a box frame that I made myself.
Nursery: Eric Carle prints that I bought in a charity shop... 12 for £6. I've used 5 of them so kept the others for the future, coz I love them!
More than I realised actually, nothing particularly goes with anything else, except for the nursery ones, but everything has meaning to us.First date 10.2.2002

In the front room we have a framed cross stitch, OH's Leicester Tigers calendar and a photo of OH's grandparents. In my computer room upstairs I have 4 match worn rugby shirts with personal messages signed on them and 2 training shirts from 2 different clubs that were worn by the player I sponsor which are hanging on the wall, plus some photos, match tickets, my Nottingham Rugby calendar and various shots from calendars in years gone by with personal messages written on them, also a blown up publicity shot for last season's shirt.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200
