How much has that cost you, would £10,000 compensate you?

Yes 10000 would be nice but I would accept 50

An apology just doesnt seem adequate when I phoned them up to ask why I was getting all these calls they blamed the garage

When youve paid 400 for insurance, I think it should not be expected that they will pass on your details if you have an accident

Theyve fell short so why should I pay the full amount they quoted?

But if you think an apology is enough maybe your just easily placated

And maybe you are a chancer!

Anyway this wasn't AVIVA who were selling information to claims management companies but two errant employees who may now face criminal charges.

No - just not someone prepared to be fobbed off with an appology

they have to take responsibility for the people they choose to hire though

Interestingly there has been a lot of discussion this week, on the discussion forum, about the NHS wanting to sell patient information to insurance companies. The government, NHS and insurance companies all argue that everything will be treated in strict confidence.

    So that's OK then.

I get those despite never been insured by Aviva nor having been involved in any RTAs

You'd need to prove that you were one of the ones whos data was stolen by their rogue employees rather than just being one of the millions that are getting purely random cold calls.

Also remember that these companies train their staff relatively well in talking in such a way that you believe that they know about an accident you were involved in etc so dont mistake them feedback what you tell them as them knowing anything.

i only started getting these calls just after the accident

if its shown that aviva employees sold thousands of driver details - then why should it be assumed that it was someone else other than aviva?
