May 2014 Grocery Challenge

Evening everyone!
Nsd for me today. No time to have gone to the shops anyway! We had spiders for dinner, and I have cheesy mash and corned beef left over. I shall use the corned beef in sandwiches tomorrow, and I'll have cheesy mash fritters with some bacon for dinner. There's only enough for me, but we were supposed to have chicken risotto anyway, so I'll still do that for the children, unless they fancy something easier/quicker.
No time to shop tomorrow either, so will be another nsd, but I do have the potential to shop on thurs - I'll have to be careful to stay out of the shops!!
Was really worried about going to the dentist today, as finances quite tight, but they told me I was a very good girl and had lovely teeth! I hadn't been for two years, so was fully expecting to need half a dozen filling!
Off to bed now, so much to do tomorrow, I need the rest!
Night all,

No spends yesterday and won't be any today. Took out homemade corned beef pasties from freezer. Going to have them tonight, with homemade chips, peas & gravy tonight.
I also resisted walking down to co op to pick up any reduced items as I really don't need them! Pay day in 9 days, 9 pound in my grocery budget left. Fingers crossed I can do it, I really think all I will need is milk & apples. Got enough bread in freezer and enough stock in cupboards & freezer to push through x'There are far better things ahead Than any we leave behind '0 -
Total spends so far £171.82, £11.82 over my budget of £160, but I have stocked up on red lentils, butter, flour, and a few other bits that will last well into the new month. I'm not planning on spending anything until DH gets paid, which will probably be the 23rd of this month due to the holiday.0

Hi, Please can I join in? I guess I'll be doing it properly in the June GC as we get paid on Friday but I'm just going to stay in the background here for a few days to get back into the mindset!Jonathan Douglas born 20th January 2009 - 9lb 4oz

It's a few days since I last checked in, but I've just updated my spreadsheet with a few grocery spends and I've now spent £119.04 of my budget for the month.
So I'm now 67.7% of the way through the month and 73.1% of the way through my budget - with £43.74 left for milk, veg and anything else I discover I need.Cheryl0 -
£9.37 to add today in HB including £1.50 for a sandwich and drink for dinner. Don't normally class eating out as such but I will,as would have included the drink anyway. Declaring at £181.3 / £180 - not too unhappy with that! Been terrible at updating this month but have been reading along. Just seem really busy these days for some reason.
On some positive news, I've been offered a new job which I start in a month! Be sad to leave my current workplace, as I like the job and really like my colleagues, but the new job is a good opportunity for some good experience in the area I want to specialise in, plus a bit more money tooPart time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018
