    I've been Money Tipped!
Had my As*a shop delivered this morning. Came to £51.35.
Admittedly it could have been a fair but less but seeing as I was going to come in under budget I thought I'd get one or two bits to stock up.
DH went to the supermarket tonight for lemonade and came back with a good selection of YS bread so shan't need to buy any for a few weeks :)

Fingers crossed I won't need any top up shops this week.
Then just one week left and I'm still just about on budget for the month!

I'm avoiding going into town until later this week to stretch the NS period. Maybe I'll do the very last shop this month from S'sbury's to get the £ 15 for 1st delivery off. Is it cheating if I ask OH to get the milk when we run out ;) ?

Just popped into town to buy some more salad stuff plus some chicken and bacon. Spent a total of £16.86 bringing my total so far to £205.23/£250. Only one more shop to go before end of my month so should manage to come in on budget, so pleased with that.

I can't find todays receipt, but know i bought 4 litres of fizzy water at 18p each, milk for 99p, meat free kievs (can't remember price - will have to look online). Also, more lolly ices ( think 99p) and mayonnaise 89p.

Off to update. 18 days to go for me and struggling ...

Need to add a penny as lolly ices were a £ and kievs were £1.50

So I've failed for the month!!

I've spent a whopping £89.85 on groceries in the last week, already putting us £15+ over budget with 8 days left. Not happy with myself! I was supposed to be using my week off work to sort out what we already have, yet it seems I've spent most of it in the shops!

Although when I think back to what I have bought this month, at least £35 of it has been alcohol, and I didn't used to include that in the budget. Definitely need to cut down on that!

I have also bought a lot of cat food as we are getting a kitten in a couple of weeks, although I didn't include that in the totals as I hadn't factored it when I set the budget. Will definitely have to up the budget next month!

    Hi everyone,

    Budgets updated to here

    Welcome to:
    Trade and earningNsaving :-D

Tonight we are having Nigella's chicken and chorizo traybake. Just put it in the oven as DS1 has to leave at 6.15pm for rugby training. Will do some green beans with it.

Had sausage cassoulet from a Sainsbugs magazine recipe last night. It was okay - don't think DS2 liked the cannellini beans though! Just made a change from sausage and mash.

Tomorrow we will have pasta, and Thursday will be chicken curry with rice and naan.

DH gets paid Friday (earlier this month as payday is usually 25th). I'm off to Costco on Thursday to stock up on chicken and mince, and may also get some pork.

    Have a good evening all.

Evening all :) Small spend today, spent the last of my real money with a few pennies to spare. Still need to buy something tomorrow though so it'll on on the (debit) card. Cash out again on Thurs ^_^

Spent £6.10 on YS fish for dinner and milk 2 4pt for £3 for DS to last hopefully about a week.

Bought Jamie Oliver's Save with Jamie, I know loaning it from the library is more MSE but I love my cookbooks and won't be buying any more for a long time. Just started reading it and some good tips so far.

Have a good evening everyone x

Well done on the totals Florenceem and Newthrift and a big welcome :hello: to earningNsaving.

Managed another NSD today. DH had ham, eggs, chips and beans for dinner. I had to have lunch as working late and had a huge salad with tinned tuna and a jacket potato.

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday
