  • I don't know where I should go really! It's the first time I've really attempted this properly- today is payday and I'm aiming for £300 between now-21 May for 3 (more or less) adults and two hollow legged cats! DH did do a good job raiding the little Mr T down the road for breadstuffs earlier, visit to the local farm shop tomorrow to try and "meat plan" for the month, DH is a carnivore and can easily eat a packet of chicken breast on his own, closely followed by DS (15) with hollow legs that has a liking for cold meat sandwiches atm (you go to make a sandwich and find cheese cheese or cheese, I hate cheese sandwiches and there's a huge gap where the sliced meat usually lives!!) I have also set a budget for DH's "junk" to take to work, DS and I normally eat pretty well but the dietary nightmare that is DH insists on umpteen cakes and chocolates to take to work....seems wrong in this world he's cheapest to feed!! Any tips I pick up on the way will be great, will be nice to get to know you all :)

I've had to buy a couple of things for my next week's shop already as I couldn't pass them bye.

So far = 4 x avocado's for £1 at the market stall in town (1 x avocado for the same amount in Mr A's :o )

I got ownbrand Mr T's veg suet for a lamb hotpot as I've got YS lamb in the freezer to use up.

Also, having read on here I popped into P@undland in town and got 75 PG teabags for £1 instead of 40 for £1.25 in Mr A's...

Large pack of cooking bacon for £1 too, I'm going to portion, freeze flat and bag up.

The result is that next week's Mysupermarket basket is showing up as £42.15 and I think if I visit the farm stall's I can get that all for less :happyhear
