I'll test this one out and if it works well, I'll recommend it. I don't want to recommend something for it not to work. It's the only 8 inch (approx) press I could find though, most all of the others are 6 inch or less. In my mind, who really wants a 6 inch wrap? That's teeny!
Ohh, MrsT, I'm waiting with eager anticipation to hear about the press... I make Kofta's a lot and OH makes flatbreads, I'm sure they'd be much more uniform and thinner having been pressed beforehand.;):money:0 -

We use them as wraps (fajitas, burritos - bean and cheese, breakfast, etc,) and quesidillas mostly. I can't justify paying 10p per wrap to make quesidillas though, since it takes two for each one, and one is never enough to fill one of us up. Homemade however, I estimate costs around 2p each. I haven't actually done the math yet though, so don't hold me to that!0 -
Only £29 left to last until the end of the month but I think I'll only need fresh stuff so hopefully it will be OK.February GC 173/200

My first NSD in about a week! Little bits here and there being spent.
E.g- Monday went to the farm. Took a picnic though! About £25 spent!
Tuesday went to country park. £3 for parking. Took drinks and snacks with us!
Wednesday- needed veg for dinner as we made last minute plans to have friends over for dinner. £1.45 and mums birthday pressie £40
Thursday- needed to buy some meat for the weekend £12 40. (3 lots of meat and 6 lots of tea cakes reduced!)
Friday- went to the seaside! Lovely day but no idea how much hubby spent! Took a picnic for lunch. Grandad paid for parking, most of the fish and chip supper and hot chocs before we left! Hubby paid for the bill in the sweetshop! And I hate to think how much we spent in the arcades. Kids loved it and we did come away with about £20 of toys that they had won! Brilliant day so not fretting about the money. It could have been a lot worse!
Saturday- weekly shop- £40 ish!
Sunday- NSD! Yay!Grocery challenge-

Hi all,
Budgets list updated to here
Welcome/welcome back to:
purplesheila and katylou6180
I see that the May thread is now up. I need to do the budgets for May so please post large and red if you can, so I can spot them!
Roast pork, roasties, and veg for dinner tonight. DD was on camp so we are eating about 6ish.
The large pork joint was HP in Tesco so lo will be turned into sweet and sour pork later in the week.
Meal plan for this week:
Today - roast pork etc.
Monday - prawn and chilli linguini
Tuesday - maple chicken n ribs, French fries, coleslaw
Wednesday - sweet and sour lo pork with noodles
Thursday - beef mince and pasta bake
DH gets paid on Friday :j and I have everything in apart from some packed lunch bits. Only have £6.54 left in the budget but this month our dogs food was on offer, so I got 4 x 3kg bags. This will last us until at least June so if/when I go over budget this month, I can cope with that!
Have a good day all

year's food budget £1,9200 -
I have completely lost track. I think in future I should completely ignore DH spends as he isn't good at keeping track or trying to cut back. I know I must be way over budget this month by at least £100 and feel I'm spending far too much for the 5 of us.
I think I'm spending too much at the start if the month thinking il stock up for later then changing menu, getting a takeaway etc. my plan for May is to try and only but necessities at the start of the month then hopefully have more spare cash at the end of the month.
Hope everyone else is doing better than me. Wish I could get the hang of this budget as well as everyone else on here seems to be. I may just head over to May now to start afresh.March GC £606.33/£400
April GC £387.96/£400[/COLOR]

NSD today, yesterday just bought petrol. Still got £8.98 left of the budget to last a week (new month begins 28th April).
Had my parents and brother round for dinner today, had roast lamb (from freezer) and lamb sausages (YS from freezer) as lamb joint wasn't quite big enough for 5. My dad is a chef and said my roast potatoes were better than his so I took it a massive compliment!
Have meal planned up to and including 28th April, should just need milk and fresh fruit, perhaps a bit of cheese - I can make bread, and have some in the freezer too. I'm planning on making soup & bread tomorrow for lunches for the next few days. We've also got plenty of pasta and a few tins of tuna that we can put together and take to work.
Fingers crossed we'll make it through the next 7 days on £8.98-pretty sure we can do it!!MFW 2016 #32 £1574.66/£1500:j:j0 -
Had another NSD today but need milk and a couple of bits tomorrow.
We had black pudding (freezer), bubble and squeak cakes (lo mash and cabbage), grilled toms, egg and baked beans. We then finished off the YS cheesecake from yesterday
Hope you all have a marvellous Monday. We don't get the holiday here in Fife so I'm in to work
