Tesco order done and scheduled for Tuesday. £47.51 including delivery after I applied a £15 off when you spend £60 code :)

Won't add to my sig until it's delivered; I've worked out what is from which budget so I know how much to take off. Roughly looking like:
    £18.00 baby spends
£6.05 treats spends (chocolate and soft drinks to stash to take away to the tournament early in May)
    £2.50 delivery

So taking that £26.55 off the total spends the total from the GC will be £20.96; very happy with that as currently we are buying quick/easy cook meals and some extra freezer items as we adjust to having baby and try to get in to a routine.

May try to not shop at all week after next other than bananas, milk and potatoes but we will have to see how we get on!

Ok so the shopping came; no substitutions - yay!

    The final breakdown is:
    20.19 from the Baby budget
    6.33 from in treats
18.49 from the GC - will add that to my sig now

    ...

so that leaves me £9.77 to last until payday which is the 25th and all we should need is:
    Garlic bread
fresh fruit (apples and bananas and maybe some grapes or strawberries)
    Bacon

Might need to use ASDA for the next shop as we use their nappies and as we thought little miss would be a bit bigger we only got one box of size 1's however she's only just in them now at 3 weeks (we had to go out and get micros!) and we will def need some more - should have plenty to get through the next week though so that's ok!

Need to set a definite baby budget too as at the moment it's just buying stuff as and when we need them so...
Need to budget for formula (although we've only just started her on this and bought two boxes so have enough for now), wipes (usually bought in bulk boxes), nappies (although we have loads stashed under her cotbed from when the latest offer started) and enough to start a pot for groups/clothes/etc! Hmmm definitely something to think about

I almost completely gave up on them early last year. Since I started getting almost 100% of my meat from Cost0 in October 2012 it's nigh on impossible for me to spend as much as £20 in a single trip to the supermarket (unless I pay higher than A1di prices for my veg, which negates any saving) even if I only go once a month. A couple of times a year I might consider using a £x off £xx spend voucher they send me in the post or give me as a till spit because I've not been in for so long (used one of the latter last month), but I only manage those by stocking up on 6 months worth of dried pasta and/or long-life soya milk !!!

And I've never saved receipts for a M0rrisons deal, even though I have a store within a 10 minute walk of home (and even worked there for 2 years!)

I always watch with interest when people on here talk about the A1di voucher in the paper. First off I'd have to offset the cost of the paper (I never, ever buy one anymore - although I used to if they were giving away decent CDs or DVDs via Mr T as I can walk there on a daily basis, but even then I never read it), but unless there's something really good in their special deals I never spend more than £10 in a single visit there either, and it's normally under £5 as I walk down for fresh milk and veg as and when I need it.

These things really aren't designed for a household of 1 or 2 :(

At times I almost wish I had a big family again, so that I could make the most of all these coupons.... but then I remember what they cost me overall and decide I'm quite happy to miss out on the coupons :rotfl:

I can never seem to spend for the coupons in Morrisons, but find it easy at Tesc* for some reason :o. I totally get what you are saying though. I'm much the same with Ald* too, could never get it to £40; even with tins and cleaning bits, as Dad always seemed to only be able to go when i had just done a shop.

Well Tesc* shop came to £40.86; and i stocked up on practically all non - perishables. I did have to get handwash today and tuna from L*dl, also got soft cheese, rocket and tissues, which came to roughly £5. So i will add that and adjust accordingly if any different.
GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £89.90/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. One person vegan household with occasional visitors)

Going to Aldi tonight to hopefully get a few more Easter eggs for when my mom flies over.

Shouldn't be more than £25 at the absolute max, more like £20 hopefully. Shouldn't need anything except milk until the 25th.

I'll update after we get home, never know if they will have some awesome ys bits at tesco and co-op or not!

  • cw18 those coupons annoy me too, the supermarkets never consider single people! Fed up of discounts only applying when you spend lots or buy lots (BOGOF etc).

Anyway, NSD today so won't be anywhere near a supermarket.

Know that feeling, tomatoes and beans are great to stock up on
both good for a couple of years, but I did have a shock with beans 3 years out of date, inherited, that were blown, needed to repaint the ceiling

£14.52 spent in Co-Op today on loo rolls. bread, milk, fruit, eggs etc. which I have added to total. I think I have everything I need now and as we are away for most of next week I am hoping I can exist with the stuff from freezer and cupboard. I do have £23+ left but I am hoping to save that this month as I have seriously gone over on my personel spends (as always).
Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot.

Back from the shops (and digging into this apple crumble and cornish clotted cream ice cream! Apples were gleaned from someone who didn't want them last September, so they were free.)

Ended up spending £24.42 tonight, with lots of extras. Found £1.01 on the path on the way up to the shops as well!
