A quick top up shop yesterday to take us to the weekend, £15.12 but that included nappies at £5 (when will DD ever be dry at night?).

Won't be hitting the supermarket again until next Wed, but that will be a real stock-up. Until then we sit at £103.97/£180 remaining for April.

Happy Easter everyone, enjoy the sun and chocolate.

£2.50 to add for yesterday because DH wanted 'something more substantial' for lunch in addition to the two slices of pizza he packed. I normally pack him a homemade lunch from the freezer, a yoghurt cup (when we have them), and a banana. Well, he forgot all of that yesterday!

We have someone taking us to the pet store for bunny food tonight, so it will be another NSD for the grocery budget. Planning on having hamburger steak with cheese, homemade spiced wedges, and some sort of veg from the freezer for dinner tonight.

There is space in our freezer currently! I can see half of a shelf!!!

We had hm shepherds pie from the freezer for dinner and I made a bannoffee pie with biscuits, tin of caramel and past their best bananas (had all the ingredients in!)
ALSo made some hob nob biscuits. Yum! Discovered that you don't need sr flour and can use plain flour adding baking powder to turn it into self raising flour. This is good for me as I seem to have lots of plain flour and can never get through a pot of baking powder.

You need to add 2 teaspoons of baking powder for every 150g of plain flour! Good to know!

Nsd today. Have been busy thinking about what we will be eating for the rest of the month. Realistically, there is little I need to buy, so still hopeful to come in on/under budget. Would be a first! However, before I was playing at budgeting, now it's for real...

DD asked for spag bol instead of fish fingers tonight, so that's in the bank for another time. Also have a mince mix lo for another meal.

I'm planning on doing my shop on Saturday, but need to make sure there's enough left for some bread, milk and fruit for the last few days of the month.

    Night all,

I 'was' feeling all smug and cosy about my weekly shop on Monday which I thought would cover us until Bank Hol Mon... forgot the blimmin' custard for Easter Day pud didn't I? Pah! Therefore, we walked (yes, walked rather than drove in and payed to park) into town and got ambr@ses creamy custard for £0.69 in FarmF@@ds, justified as we have guests and I don't want to be making custard after drinking wine, could get messy that :rotfl:

    New total: £91.55/£360 :)
