I would like to join for April and my budget is £250. I was just over this in March and with Easter this month, I don't think I would manage at £200.
Have been shopping today and already spent £61.02. I will need to go again on Sunday before our hols, but I'm hoping we won't need to buy any food (except maybe a few ice creams!) while we're away.SPC # 348 2014-£169.07/2015 - £156.89

Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a great day. I've been really stressed at work, and it's only going to get worse until mid June... Currently doing 60-70 hrs per week, but will be going up to 70-80 until then. Hmm, not impressed, especially as I'm salaried so no extra pay! Anyway, that's the life I chose, and I am grateful to be working.
Just having a 5-min break to put children to bed and write this, then cracking on! DS out at friend's for dinner, DD had scrambled egg on toast, and I'm not feeling well, so will have crackers and cheese or similar later on.
NSD today, 2 out of 2, but will be buying pizza tomorrow from ffoods, so only a small spend anticipated. Have to have got home, changed, eaten and then get back to school by 5:15!!
Night all,

kiwiblue i read your post twice before i noticed where you live in your sig. so sorry to hear you are suffering the opposite of what areas of the UK have had lately. people have been waist deep in it here while you are suffering a shortage. Shame we cant get some of ours over to you. i hope you get enough rain soon to help you through and save you from having to buy water in.[/QUOTE
Mrs Money-penny We are due to have a Royal visit next week and the met sages are telling us that it will be a wet week, here's hoping. The area we live in has very reliable rainfall usually, so this is a new experience for us.0 -
NSD#2 for April
Tonight we had stir fry with some belly pork and rice. Doesn't look a lot but there was plenty of veg in it - onions, mushrooms, broccoli, peppers, tomatoes and pak choi. Have to say it was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed it. After we had some more fruit to fill us up.
Have heard that a nearby co-op is shutting later in the year around August (we have a small one nearer) so will have to pay a visit in the next month or so as I have about £80+ of vouchers to use up.MARCH £62.38/2500 -

Are there any bread-making experts among you GCer's?
A couple of weeks ago I made the soda bread recipe from A Girl Called Jack and it was simple and delicious. However it used self-raising flour and I'd like to make a wholemeal version. I have in wholemeal bread flour - will it work with this?We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -

Contacted sun+ yesterday, as months ago i signed upto one of their offers for £20 morries vouchers and was only a £1 i cancelled after ten days so was past the period for vouchers but so i didnt get charged for the month after.
they told me they have run out of morries vouchers and will send me argos this week....ive JUST got my morries vouchers through the post, but was 2nd class.....i wonder if ile still get argos ones too lmao!!
even if i dont im happy i have my morries. will go there next weekend
Had a small spend today of £4.69 - sent DH to Li*l while I was at work and of course he bought 'extras' but still not too bad as all usable and NOT junk (bless :kisses3:) I think he's getting the message
Quite strange that I'm working some evenings and so have to have my 'dinner' at 4.30 in the afternoon and NO wine. I made a cheese and onion quiche with tomatoes, avocado and asparagus (both on offer Li*l) with soda bread. Sounds a bit odd but using up stuff in fridge and surprisingly good :T
Hope you all have a thrilling Thursday
