Hi all, first shop of the month done, including lunch out and a few drinks on Saturday (early mothers day lunch for my very 1st mothers day).
£52 total spent (to the penny somehow!)
This week I've made a big pot of pea and ham soup for lunches for both myself and dh. Dinners should be:
Monday: fish fingers, peas and mash
Tuesday: pizza and salad (pizza from freezer)
Wednesday: egg, beans and wedges
Thursday: pork meatballs and mixed veg rice
Friday: pad Thai veg noodles
Saturday: stovies
I've also got the bits to make peach pudding which should do 8 servings and some custard in the cupboard.
Don't need anything now for the rest of the week I think so hopefully I'll top up the NSDs.

£5.06 spend today. Popped into Sainsbugs after posting ebay parcels and was at the right time for YS, so got 2 duck steaks (will save those for OH visiting), chocolate muffins, pitta bread and tomatoes. Had a disagreement with the bakery assistant, all their pitta breads go out of date tomorrow yet they can't YS them until the actual day.New graduate trying to get debt-free.

Just got back from my Sainsbury's shop and paid the grand total of £2.10 after all offers, vouchers, coupons and money for points had been taken off. I got £55.56 worth of stuff! I consider that a success! Should have enough food in to last at least a week.
Our menu over the next few days looks like this:
- Mashed potato pizza with leftover haggis
- Chicken risotto
- Lasagne
- Pork curry
- Cheese on toast
- Leftovers/soup
I have some mashed potato and haggis left over from last night and am hoping to turn this into "pizza". I have googled in a bit and am hoping it will work if I had a bit of flour to the mash. Will report back if it turns out to be a disaster!March GC £122.25/ £120
April GC £109.83/ £650 -
Went to Lidl today and did a big shop that will last for the majority of the month. Certainly meat, groceries and toiletries will so just fresh stuff to get weekly and anything crucial we run out of. Spent £90.24p so I am pleased with that. Off to add to siggy.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0

I received shopping vouchers from the credit card company where I've been collecting points for over a year. I redeemed those points for Sainsbury's vouchers. And before I went into the shop I filled up the car at the petrol station and it spat out a "£6 off a £40 shop" voucher. Then I used some of my Nectar points and some things I bought were on multi-buy offer.
It wasn't quite as miraculous as it sounds :rotfl:March GC £122.25/ £120
