I know! I've taken a scraping of butter before without asking first, but mentioned afterwards, and said they were welcome to steal some back. Just not getting along with these housemates really, but this gripe is challenge related! On a good note though, I buy a lot of fresh fruit and veg, and these guys don't seem to eat much fresh stuff, so my staples are safe!0 -

Hello GC'ers - March was £14 over, but mostly down to OH lunch habits.
April is a 5 week month for us, but we're away for a few days over Easter which will ease the strain, and we don't buy Easter eggs as DD doesn't like chocolate. So I'm going for £180 again.
This is all supermarket spends; food, toiletries, cleaning and alcohol for 2 adults a 3 yr old and cat.We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -
Oops, I have been absent for WAY too long - and the budgets have suffered for it! However I am now debt free and it's time to get back on track. Setting myself a challenge of £100 for April. This should be completely doable as I have over a month's worth of meat in the freezer and a full stock cupboard. But I would like to try and stick to my plan of eating organic if possible. This should be a fun challenge!!Novuna personal finance 0% 4-year £518/£1866Credit card debt free! Now on the journey to mortgage free.0

Small spend today of $5.06 on milk and bread.
Dinner tonight is an entr!e of whitebait fritters (we have a commercial whitebaiter friend who dropped some round, otherwise would be far too expensive for us to buy, currently sells for around $120 per kg). Main is roast beef and veg.
I intend to hold much tighter to the purse strings this month and see if I can cut out trivial spending. So my first purchase for the month has been on bread which I normally make myself, but couldn't be bothered today!0 -

Hello April!! So happy you have arrived!!
As you can see I am off to a VERY BAD start this year as shown in my sig.
I AM going to be good in April!
I have decided not to count the NSD, as when I spend i usually think 'ooo ile get this aswel seen as im spending today' and theres usually something else that crops up the next day anyway. So now I dont care how many NSD I have aslong as I just buy what I need
Had a takeaway last night (OH PAID) as the chicken delivered from asda was opened!! Doubt ile get my money back now as they delivered it other day and oh put it away so I didnt check.
HM meatballs tonight and dont need to go to the shops for anything.216/2018 (make ££ in 2018)

Morning everyone  & A nice big hello to April
Big thank you's to all that manage & contribute to the thread, Can I please be put down for £200 again for April?
Going to try a Calendar month this time, as failed miserably at trying to get 5 weeks out of a previous 4 week budget in Marchso going to try running from the 1st til 30th & see if I fair better doing it that way. As always, budget is for me, fussy OH & 2 very fussy & spoiled Senior cats & includes all food, drink, Cat food/litter & household supplies.
Wishing you all a successful April... Good luck everyone0 -

Spaghetti and meatballs for dinner tonight as we changed meal plan yesterday and made pizzas and garlic bread! Was amazing.
Hopefully will get an updated council tax bill soon for May which is spread over 12 months (got to pay Aprils the same as it would be 10 installments though) so should have an extra £20 to add next monthI'm C, Mummy to DS 29/11/2010 and DD 02/11/2013
