Just spent ages replying with quotes & have some how managed to lose it all! Grrr!
Anyway, I had said to recoveringspendaholic - yes, no problem, I'll check out the claire barry butchers some time soon and feed back.
In addition, I had agreed with a member, anyone who regularly buys a paper, would you mind giving us a heads up if there is an Aldi voucher please? Thanking you, in advance
We have had a pretty vegetarian week. Financially driven not an ethical choice! :rotfl: However, I have to say, I didn't really notice until the end of the week! We had.....
Tuesday- the 9p burgers with salad. I enjoyed them. I gave us half a rasher of bacon & some cheese on each one. DH, although he did not moan or state he disliked them, said it tasted like he was eating a refried bean sandwich!
Wednesday- I felt rough so had toast & the rest had leftovers or HM ready meals from freezer.
Thursday (our rushed night) - beans on toast
Friday-cheese omelettes, beans & wedges
So, last night, as DH has been away since Friday (on an expensive, indulgent golf trip) & is not due back until late tonight (EVEN THOUGH IT'S MOTHER'S DAY) I took the kids to McDs for their tea & cooked myself a piece of steak with ys roasted butternut squash & sweet potato!
I have just finished my lukewarm, not very well whisked, full of shell, scrambled eggs on my over buttered toast with my tepid cup of coffee but, hey, it was brought to me in bed & made with the love of my kids (who are now vacuuming everything I vacuumed at 8pm last night)! We're off to the cinema later (different budget) and then later I'll write my meal plan for the week.

Hi, very happy with March coming in well under target but will need to top up some of the store cupboard items so will keep April at £250 please.
Have fridge/freezer and cupboard stocktake to do but still fair amount of meat, so mainly need fresh & frozen F&V plus general groceries & dairy stuffs.
Must get more baking done this month for lunches & 'afters' been getting a few too many bought in 'just in case' and then using them instead of making
Thanks everyone.
