Haha. They do taste better than they look (I personally think they look a tad messy but I'm happy that I didn't have to bake so didn't criticise):A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

Me too! Nice to 'meet' you! Maybe we can spur each other on? I have a budget of £150 this month, just feeling my way back. I'd love it to be under £100, but as I feed a dog, a cat and a guinea pig as well as us three, and the bf approx 3-5 times a week, £100 is a bit too much of a challenge on my first month back. I'm hoping to be :A, as I have sooooo much in already (prob the equivalent of your costco shop!), but as it is my stockpile, I'm not counting it.
I have an a$da delivery coming tomorrow afternoon, as it's mothers' day, so I thought I'd treat myself. It's about £43, but I'll put it into my sig once I've had it delivered. Went through a couple of times after I'd done the initial shop, and took out bits and bobs. I find this is the best way for me to shop, as I spend way too much instore. I have a three month pass, that I bought a while ago, as a treat for going back full time, but I usually use ffoods.
Am determined to be :money:this month. Eating from stocks is essential, as I need the space as well as wanting to spend less!!
Have a good night all - I have a roast in the oven, at the request of dd. (Would rather cook it today than tomorrow!!)

Ah! Looks like I missed the aldi voucher. These seem to happen quite often. Is there any logic to it? I'm annoyed as I spend about £40 so helps a lot! Normally someone puts it on here, but didn't see it this time. Never mind, I will have to be more observant next time!Grocery challenge-

I did the weekly shop last night, alone but tired so spent a bit much. But also few bits for longer term, and nothing that will be wasted.
Takeaway tonight, after trip to match.
Lamb roast tomorrow, DH in charge.
No real menu for this week yet, but have mince, chick breasts and meatballs fresh, and lamb chops, salmon and southern fry chick in freezer, loads veg, so I intend a more healthy week this week.with DH helping on menu decisions for a change!GC 2010 €6,000/ €5,897

I don't buy online, at the moment but in the March GC, someone posted this link
http://www.clarebarry.co.uk/ and recommended it. It is close-ish to me so I was thinking I may pop down and take a look[/QUOTE]
I saw that too - I looked at the site and couldn't see that the stuff was free range, but it did say that it was all british - if you do go and have a look let me know - it would be good to know what the place is like!
I am up at silly o'clock - started doing some work on a recruitment I'm doing a few hours ago and got really involved and ended up only finishing about 10 minutes ago. Need to invoice them so I have some money for the GC this month!
I spent my first bit of April GC this month in Tescos - spent £28 on milk, bread, bagels, Clover, turkey steaks, bacon, meatballs (which I really hate but kids love - shudder!!), fruit and veg, and some half price Oreo cones (ate two this evening:o), parmesan cheese and a tub of single cream. I also got some ys stuff which I put in the freezer to use up during the month - couple of finest chicken pies for 21p each, several finest Spaghetti carbonara for 29p, 2 cheesecakes for £1 and some iced belgian buns (they weren't reduced by much but I love them!)
I need to make a meal plan for the month because DD1 will be home from University for most of the month and she eats as if she has hollow legs!! Honestly I have never seen anyone eat so much - and she is really fussy too which makes it even harder!
I need to try and eat a bit healthier this month - I was out with a friend this morning for coffee and she asked me if I was still on a diet - I said that I wasn't being very good on it and she said "I was thinking that it hasn't worked!" - cheek! I just downloaded the nutracheck app for the ipad and was horrified by how many calories I ate today - I felt like one of the people I am always so sarcastic about on "Secret Eaters"!Jane
