    He he! Made me smile!

Although I am trying to stick to weekly shops, I have had to pop into Aldi for cheese & bread today. Bread I bought on Tuesday already had a few mold spots on. Thursday is our busy night & so just planned baked beans on toast for tea. Grabbed the cheese to go on top of beans.... it never got opened! Grrr!

Should be a no spend day grocery wise as my pre-teen is planning a games night. I have to provide nosh so it is going to be the cheap margarita pizzas currently 4 large ones for £2.50 at lidl (which I have in the freezer already) along with wedges and garlic bread also in the freezer.

Sprog will also be making a Victoria sponge later (ingredients already in pantry).

Danger lies in popping in ikea for my free drink whilst I pass through wednesbury this morning......

I'm still in March but can you put me down for£250 this month. It was a realistic target last month so will keep it the same.

Bluegreen123, those truffles look amazing and such a good idea to use as pressies. Do you have a recipe to make them??

  • Hello everyone!

I went a bit over budget in March and the freezer is looking rather empty. So I need to stock up this month and we will also have visitors so I hope I can keep control of the spending.

As I have £80 in vouchers, my budget is going to be £65!

    Hi everyone,

    Budgets updated to here :)

    Welcome/welcome back to:
    Kath124, Alex321 and jumblejack :D

Went to Aldi yesterday and spent £59.04. That netted lots of storecupboard ingredients plus yogs, milk, cheese. Need to update sig.

Dinner last night was Costco pork chops with savoury rice and sugar snap peas. Tonight we will have pasta with crème fraiche, parma ham, courgettes and button mushrooms nommmmmm.

Tomorrow we are at MILs and she is doing a bbq which was unexpected as I assumed we were just popping round for a cuppa. Sunday we are at a family party so will only need a light lunch before we go. Managing to s-t-r-e-t-c-h the mealplan a little further ;)

    Have a good weekend all.

    Oops.

Spent £1.80 in the ikea cafe. Child's meatballs and free fruit and hot drink :)

Also spent £3 on 2 rose stems

    Fresh start tomorrow.

Then spent £7.10 in aldi on strawberry plants, milk and salad (as feel guilty just giving sprogs pizza, wedges and garlic bread later ;) )
