Hope it all went without hitch.
Yep, was first in as they wanted to get me in before a lot of none bankruptcy cases. I signed my forms and handed over the £700 and went and sat in the waiting area.
The judge was very friendly, said it would take him 3 seconds to sign it off if I was sure and had sort advice. I was in his chambers/room less than 3 minutes.
Like many others say, it really was straight forward and a bit of anti climax. Now just to wait for the OR to call later today0 -
Dear all
3 weeks and still waiting for the OR call....was icily told 'we contact you when we are ready'....really going to help me sleep well!!
In the meantime, joints debts would have meant OH could have had a DRO- now thanks to a DWP !!!! up- OH has been slapped with a tax credit overpayment, pushing debts over £15k!!!
Back in court Monday0 -
My OR called earlier for the 10 minute chat, she must of been having a bad day or something as she seemed so dis-interested and rather grumpy.0

Mine has been the same0 -
I am stressing today as couldn't get online to get my payslips as I have changed my bank account.
Also should I be contacting my creditors now to tell them I am bankrupt? very confused.0 -

No, the OR will do that for you. If they contact you or turn up on your doorstep as the judge explained to me just give them your bankruptcy number and they will go away (or should!).0 -
You could if you wanted to, as except for a few for a few critiical people like your current bank account provider, they often don't write to creditors for some weeks, or even over a month.

Yes it does seem a bit of a lottery as to whether you get a nice or nasty OR
I can't truly relax until I'm over the OR part of the process as well0 -

If you have got yourself out from under the debt, why the ruddy hell would you want to shove yourself back under it again?
Don't do it, live different.
Exactly.
the only time i would ever want credit again would be to buy a house but that's a few years off anyway.0
