  • All quite really for me, i had a letter from the OR saying he didnt want to inteview me and all i needed to prove was the amount my council tax and phone was which will be easy.

Also they would not contact my current landlord as im not in arrears.

just have to find my bank statements for 12 months and thats the paperwork done and dusted.

  • Hi all
I have had another 3 conversations with my OR since the interview checking bank statements etc and so stressed with it all.
They are looking at an IPA which is so much more than I thought and worried I cant pay it back. They are looking at an average of my pay for the last 3 months but I did loads of overtime which came in my Dec pay (worked so hard and nearly made myself ill) which is now having a negative effect.

Today is the day, I hardly slept last night and time seemed to go so slowly :(

I'm so tired but last night should of been my last sleepless night because of my debt!

If it doesn't fairly reflect your income from this point onwards, then personally I would tell them that as say that you are not prepared to sign an IPA that is based on figures that no longer apply.

They shouldn't take overtime as proof of income - you can show that it as a one-off by showing your other payslips. Before bankruptcy I was working all the hours god sent in a futile attempt to try and pay off debt (I'm sure that was also the case for a great many of us here) and as soon as I was made bankrupt my hours dropped to a standard working week. They certainly didn't expect me to carry on working 70 hours a week again to pay into an IPA.
Just make sure you can show what a standard working month will pay you...and don't agree to something that you cannot sustain out of it. xx
