Yup. Mine just arrived in the post today. I only did a balance transfer and feel a little guilty. Might make a purchase on their card next year sometime to make up.

I have just applied for an MBNA card that offers a free Goodmans DVD player. Terms the same as other MBNA electrical freebies offers.

My free DVD player arrived this morning! I'm dead chuffed (as people used to say in the 90's). Although you can now get DVD players for around £30, I still feel that I've 'got one over' on MBNA because the card is also holding a 0% debt of about £10k for 9 months.

I had to make a purchase in order to qualify for the free gift so I made sure it was a cheap £1.20 pen from WHSmith because a small amount of interest has to be paid due to the combination of the purchase and the balance transfer (for some reason). But I'm told (by MBNA, when I asked them) that this interest is almost insignificant (a couple of pence a month).

The balance transfer was free too (apparently only free transfers available during the initial 9 months).

Hooray for credit card freebies

p.s. this is approximately my 10th CC freebie in 4 years.

The T&Cs specify only that a transaction has to be made. I only did a balance transfer and my MP3 player arrived a few weeks ago  ;)

I think I will contact them again and ask when I can expect to receive the MP3 player - just to ensure that my BT has "triggered" the process.
