I feel it is judgemental towards both actually. As someone else said I think it is actually more about people who are trying to be posh than actual posh people.

    Exactly this.

For example, reading the thread people have said, lightheartedly :), that they are 'accused' of being posh for having good manners, or not swearing or striving for academic achievement.

If we live in a society where an undercurrent of 'tension' is allowed to prosper when people strive for self improvement ( not pretensions) then its a shame. IMO.

For example, I don't KNOW but I wonder if its something that makes a difference in the best achieving schools (not talking about private or state, about all types of school) that in achieving schools maybe this 'success' attitude is something that prospers more?

Nope, old style board term. ;). Discounted items. :). If I pop into waitrose when DH is coming to the train station near a waitrose late in the evening (not every week) there are often very heavily reduced things I would actually be tempted to buy full price that are worth buying to freeze and meal plan around in the future.

Its like......modern, hygienic roadkill :D or shooting without the beaters, hanging and plucking. Whoopsy

Re shopping, don't most people use their most convenient supermarket?

I generally use our local Tesco. However, if I am in our nearest city and I need a top-up shop, I will use M&S, which is right by the bus stop, anyway.

If we've gone for a walk on the coastal path, I'll often call in Sainsbury's on the way home.

I go as rarely as possible , (hate supermarkets) and plan my trips round what else I have to do in that area. I but different things from different supermarkets now so when I am in an area I buy a lot of what I like there so I don't have to go back for a long time...,..:D

Oh for heaven's sake - this is all froth & bubble! It's a light-hearted time-wasting quiz with as much impact on us all as those quizzes we used to do in Woman's WeeklyWoman's Own/Jackie etc etc etc - you know the ones "how can you tell if you will marry him"! Or the old U and Non-U quizzes.

    It means nothing!

I buy mine secondhand from Oxfam and get re-proofed. Saves £££ and doesn't look nouveau.

    53% posh.

Don't understand how carrier bags are posh.

They never seem to have 'posh' things like Barbour jackets in our local charity shops. I've got some good bargains from them but I guess I'll have to keep on looking! :)
