I actually cant afford to shop in M and S and theres one waitrose within about 20 miles of me and its not close to where I live

I have shopped in M and S in times gone by when I had more spare cash. I bought a groupon 10 quid voucher for a 5 quid in M and S before christmas spend and I just bought another one, I went round the shop mostly going holy !!!!, look at the prices, I also thought the ready meal portions were tiny.

When I earned 5 times what I earn now Id have shopped in M and S and not thought very much of it. Its not a matter of being posh or not posh as far as Im concerned shopping in M and S or not, its simple economics.

I didn't know Groupon did vouchers for there, so checked it out but it's expired and so I signed up for when they do the offer again. :)

I've just had one of those chicken casserole a Fuller Longer meals for tea, and it was blooming gorgeous!

I don't understand the source of the animosity...can someone explain? Are people annoyed because it is judgemental towards people who are considered posh...or towards people who aren't? I genuinely can't work it out. Confused...

    That makes two of us!

I think everyone posting is just laughing at themselves, aren't they, and posting their percentage in the same way they'd post their p0rn name or whatever?

The post that prompted me to post was definitely not laughing at them selves, it was, I thought, quite unpleasant to another poster. (Edit, it is possible I suppose I read it wrongly though.....)

If you're talking about me then please can you just point out the bit you are referring to?

Perhaps its the fact I'm currently eating fish and chips out the wrapper in my room whilst drinking Pepsi max from the bottle that's letting me down :rotfl:

Surely you mean Poisson avec pommes frites!!

Asda always used to call their yellow stickered goods whoopsies, not sure if they still do. Havent seen any other supermarket call them that, but I knew that was a term for reduced food.
