Where I used to work it seemed sometimes that they went the temp route in order to find someone decent and then offer them the post full time....it also meant that the temp had had time to see if they liked the place/people or not too.
Anyhow all the best.0 -
Looks as if temp job fallen through due to location. :-(((0

HAPPY DANCE - KNEW you wouldn't stay off work forever!
you never know a permanent job could be just round the corner.
PLUS you have a new job to put on your CV AND a new reason for leaving - 'my temp contract ended' and you can gussy that up to make it look positive.just in case you need to know:

Thanks Fanny!!!
Spoke to agency today and they have two potential permanent roles coming up...here's hoping!!!0 -
That is great news Shazza!!
With the agency though and the fact that they have two 'potential permanent' roles coming up, that is something alot of them say to give you false hope. It is their usual sales spiel and it may result in you chasing them up all the time rather than them calling you and when you do call ( when I say you, I mean generally, not personally) a colleague will say that the consultant is not available. Very frustrating, that is why when I look for a job, I go to a direct employer.0 -
You might be right Free but we shall see....I don't assume anything anymore!! Lesson learned ;-)0

I am truly glad something has come through for you. Hopefully, you never know, they may keep you on!0

It's just covering holidays but as well as the money being handy it's made me feel a wee bit more confident I'm not totally unemployable!!0
