I aim for a max of 50 carbs per day, somedays it comes in lower some higher but average out to 50,
I also aim for 1200/1400 cals, you do noeed to keep an eye on the amount you are eating, portion control, where I go wrong.
I eat the lidl roll they are 10 gram per 100g roll, they weigh about 120g, I count them as 12 for a full roll. I don`t eat them everyday, but will have a half toasted with 2 poached eggs on, slice them through, and freeze they freeze really well.

Hi thank you very much for your reply and help. Just trying to get to grips with as much information as I can.
I,ve got 4 stone to lose, so hoping this works!

    Wow! Well done you.
I lost 10 stones ten years ago now, but over the last few years my weight has been creeping up and up, I,ve put 5 stones back on.
I,d be very happy to lose 4 of that, so going to give it my best shot.
I love reading all the threads for tips and advice
    Thanks again

Well I'm not losing weight but I have lost inches. A bit disappointing but my blood sugar levels are coming down so that's good. At least my diet is healthier.

I think I need to be much stricter with the carbs - I think I have been eating too many starchy vegetables. I need to make sure I eat more green leafy veg and salads.
  • If you need Low Carb High Protein Healthy Tacos, here it is!

The recipe which I’m going to share today with you guys is the “High Protein Healthy Tacos. Why Cauliflower? Because it greatly reduces the amount of carbs in each taco shell.

    INGREDIENTS:

    All you need are only two ingredients;

    Egg white

    Cauliflower

    METHOD:

So, let’s start making the low carb high protein tacos.

Cut the cauliflower into small pieces.

Once cut, put it in the food processor. Because it is the easiest way to blend the cauliflower.

Put the blended cauliflower in the microwave oven for 3 minutes.

Stir after taking it out of the microwave oven. Be very careful while taking it out, because it will be hot.

Put it again in the oven for 3 minutes.

After 3 minutes are out, put it out of the oven and let it cool.

As it is cooling down, pre-heat the oven to 400. Wait for about 5-10 minutes.

To squeeze out all the moisture from the cauliflower, put cooled cauliflower in another bowl with a towel covering on the inside and squeeze it hard.

Now take the dry cauliflower in a bowl and add the one third of a cup of egg whites.

Spray the oil on the cooking pan.

Form the shells and place them on the cooking pan and put them in the oven for about 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes, flip them and put them again in the oven for about 8 minutes. After all this, let the shells cool down. And after that, put the chicken and salsa on it. It is ready to eat.

  • Congratulations due for stopping at 2!
  • Good luck Samantha. Be careful to manage your stress levels though. Sometimes women can end up gaining weight after a few months on a low carb diet due to the impact of stress hormones raging around their bodies.
  • Healthy Tacos sound scrumptious :-)
  • I haven't been on for a few days, but my meals have been pretty much to plan. The only changes made were to my beef stroganoff where I slow cooked the diced beef all day as last time it was chewy. I also used a can of condensed mushroom soup as lower carbs than normal soup.

Today I just had steamed river cobbler with cheats cheesy mash.

Cut a head of cauliflower into bits microwave uncovered with two tablespoons of cream and a tablespoon of butter for six minutes. Stir and microwave again uncovered for four minutes. Use a hand blitzer and blitz with a load of grated cheddar, yum. Does two portions.

I had a cauli steak today, very nice, a slice from the centre about an inch thick, browned both sides in a little butter, then put it in the halogen with my huge slice of belly pork, swede mash all delicious.
