reporting a 1lb loss
not fantastic but better than another STS or a gain I suppose, really struggling these past two days with really low self confidence and a whole heap of negativity
(sorry starting typing this earlier then had to go off and sort bits, back now 2 hours later!)
Bf went to work today and was told he shouldn't be in as they've booked him off all week so we get a week together now:)
Tomorrow:
Breakfast: synned cereal (4) plus milk from HeA, tea (milk from HeA), kiwi chunks
Snack: 2 satsumas out at the market
Lunch:ham sammich (HeB bread) banana, pineapple chunks, squash
Tea: spag bol, syns work out at a max of 7 I think...may have a slice of garlic bread for 4.5 too
Before bed; peppermint tea
That puts me up around 15/slightly over for syns, I have wondered if I am struggling as I'm planning very few syns and end up with at least 2 extra snacks and even little chocs at 2.5 syns can throw me off at the moment...************************************

Meg72 - Strangely I was thinking last night I really wish someone had taken me to the side when I was a child / teenager and instilled healthy eating habits into me and taught me about nutrition. Then I probably wouldn't have the mess of a stomach that I am left with now and wouldn't have spent years as the fat one and all the problems that came with that - emotionally and physically.
I applaud you for talking your grand daughter.:T People always have something to say - you know what I say - in one ear and out the other lol!! We have two teenagers in our group and I see it only as a good thing .
Feeling good today - went to the gym last night and it definitely helps my mood - just need to go more!! :rotfl:I also sleep like a log after it.
I'll not be around much folks after today as I am finishing up work today until next weds - woo hoo!
Sisters wedding on Thursday and some r & r, of course the gym and a major house clean! I've an old friend coming round on Saturday for a few drinks and a Chinese so I'll be kept well amused!
I'm helping a 30 stone friend get to grips with SW at the minute and do some very low key exercise - hoping it motivates me as well! I am not going back!
Breakfast today is a Muller & a grapefruit and that's as far as I've got!!
Be good lovely people - the only thing standing in our way of who we want to be is ourselves!0 -
Meg - we don't have any teenagers coming to Group now but we used to have a couple but they don't anymore but I saw one of them across the street a couple of months ago and she was looking really fantastic - she was obviously still sticking with SW principles of healthy eating!
There is absolutely nothing wrong with teenagers learning the facts about heatlthy eating via SW.
My DD is now going to SW (started about a month ago) and my DGS, age 16, decided he wanted to follow the plan himself to lose some weight (he doesn't go to group but just discusses with DD what he will eat the next day during the day once he knows what will be for dinner that night!)
Well done Wiz on reaching 11 st - as Maman says, it's good that you're now including more veggies in your plan.
I've haven't decided what I'm going to have yet today but will need to make a decision soon as I need to go shopping!
I can either go EE or Green today as dinner tonight is chicken jambalaya which not much chicken in it so could count as an HEB.
Off to have a look and find something for breakfast and then decide which way to go.

Annie - reporting a 0.5 lb gain this week. Not totally unexpected as last week I had such a ridiculous loss with being poorly and not eating I knew that once I got back onto eating it would start to go up. Tried to minimise the damage by sticking to plan all this week. Not a great start to the challenge but we will get there.
Well done Meg for taking you DGD along with you. :T We have a couple of young people in our class and they really seem to enjoy it.
Have a great time at wedding Lantanna. Great that you are supporting your friend get on the right track with SW - well done you.
Great to see you have reached the 11st wiz. :T
We have just invested in a slow cooker - hope it doesn't end up being an ornament on the shelf under the stairs. DH is just browning some extra lean beef off and we are going to have a go at making some beef broth with all the veggies and broth mix. We have a funeral to go to this afternoon so it will be lovely to have a (hopefully) delish meal to come back to without any effort.
Well done to all the losers this week.
Take care everyone

Meg, like everyone else said, ignore that woman! I don't think people realise that SW is not the same as putting a kid on a strict diet. Obviously it's a low fat and low sugar regime, but really the main thing is being encouraged to eat a load of fruit and veg and limiting the unhealthy things.
Sounds like the comments about money making is more from herself having failed at diet plans in the past. Obviously they make money from us but I feel that if I don't have that commitment financially as well as the weekly WI I won't change my eating habits.
I bought some jeans last night in a size down from what I have been wearing and they fit! Really comfortably too! My others were getting a bit baggy anyhow, I know I haven't lost that much yet. It's been a while since I've been in a smaller size, although to be fair I have had 2 kids in recent years so there's been a fair amount of time spent in maternity wear.
WI tonight. Will report back later, hopefully with a loss!!:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

I mean to ask, someone mentioned a few pages ago about a kerfuffle with alpen light bars.
They're down as an HEB in the book, but should I be avoiding them or treating them as syns instead?:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls
