Welcome Gelly, belated happy birthday, and sorry to hear about your loss in January. You're right though, SW is very healthy, and it is recommended by midwives, so if you're TTC it should be just right. I'm a shortie too, and about a size 16 (was 18/20 :/) so you're in good company.

Lantanna - that's one of my favourite dinners you're having tonight, yummers!

Shala - Oooh, I love that dress, and the shoes are gorgeous. I love a bit of 40's styling, and very glad navy is back 'on trend', as it's such a lovely classic colour. Thanks for the chart too, you're a star!

Michele - If your jar of tomato & herb sauce is from the Aldi essentials range, it's 5.5 syns for the jar. If you get several portions out of it, that's probably fine to carry on using. The only downside to passata is that you do have to add lots of other veggies like onion/celery/mushroms/peppers/garlic to get the flavour that you can get from an all in one in the jar, but some of them are dreadfully high in added sugars and oil, so do check if in doubt. That Aldi one is one of the lowest I've seen.

MrsMc - hello! you don't fancy coming over to Lincolnshire when you're finished and just redecorating my place, do you? I did our bathroom a few weeks ago, but that's all I've managed to get done.

Well my dinner has turned out to be a bit different from what I'd got planned. I did microwave my potato, but really didn't feel like it. I often get like this when I'm baking all day, and have the smell of it in my nostrils, as it seems to suppress my appetite.

So, dinner has turned out to be a bowl of fruit (mango/banana/strawberries), with a bit of indulgence of a serving of cream, so that's upped my syns to about 7 for today, but also upped my SF's too. If I have the hot choc later that'll be an extra 2, so total of 9 syns. I don't fancy the Curly Wurly, so may just save that for another day.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Gelly - sorry to hear about your loss xxx ttc is a rough time but sw is approved to be followed xxx
Daisy - I think if your in the minority in there and actually want to get a job they will try to help but they do seem to accept most wont want a job and are happy on benefits (but that's a whole different debate ;) ) sounds promising fingers crossed for the jobs!
Shala - lovely!!! I never think to go in debenhams for clothes! Think ill have to have a browse in there xxx

Today has not gone to plan x
Ended up out for lunch but I was good and dd n her friend ate my chips n most of my burger bun, and I ordered a grilled chicken breast burger - so oil syns for basting? Was actually revolting and a waste of money really :( had to add sauce to get a flavour :@
Dinner was pork and sw roasties and veg but my gallbladder protested and I ended up taking the strong painkillers so I ate sw roasties and some broccoli :/ and now I can't face eating fruit :(
So a wash out day really xxx

  • Gelly, nice to 'see' you on this thread, we've chatted before on the mc thread. My twins would have been due this week so I more than know how you feel at the moment.

Welcome Michelle. I'm veggie too and find the Green plan really good and satisfying. Just yell if you have any questions.

Stayed the same this week :(. Can only imagine it's because * week is due. That and the fact it was half term last week so I missed the gym, but we did do things like swimming with the boys instead so I was hoping that would carry me through.

Well another STS week. I'm a bit disappointed BUT I did say last week, when I had unexpected happy STS, that my syns usually find me out the following week. Therefore I should be pleased to have not gained anything. Hopefully that's it all out of my system before - da da da - the challenge begins!

    Review of Tuesday's menu
Breakfast: 35g hexb fruit 'n'fibre with some hexa milk, banana & strawberries
Lunch: chicken & couscous (Ainsley harriott Spice Sensation for 0.5 syns) salad (chickpeas, red onion, cherry toms), ff yogurt
Dinner:SW sweet & sour (made with red & green pepper, pineapple, tomatoes, spring onions) pork (2 syns), boiled rice, fruit salad & ff natural yogurt
Things were rather hectic tonight, so I didn't have my fruit salad - and I didn't have any of the sponge pudding I made for the gang either :A
Snacks: choc digestive biscuit (3), Alpen Light Bar (3)

    Total: 8.5

    Wednesday's plan
Breakfast: spaghetti on hexb toast, clementine
Lunch: smoked salmon & scrambled eggs, mixed berries
Dinner: SW lamb rogan josh, stewed, just-about-to-go-off pears (made with sweetener)

I had made a heap of notes re previous posts, but, unbeknown to me, my 2yo granddaughter took a notion to them and now most of them are completely illegible! So you'll all have to make do with knowing I'm thinking about you all. Hope you all have a great day tomorrow.

    Hi all,

    Welcome to the newbies!!

Shala (loving the dress and shoes :D) Please can you put me down for 14lbs for the challenge

Start my new group tomorrow night, and to be honest Im feeling rather nervous. I'm not too great in social situations and would completely prefer my own company for an eternity rather than chat with strangers! :o However, after the lack of support from my last consultant I think a change is in order. Im going with my limelight hogging sister so hoping this will help :rotfl:

Will be posting more often, maybe with my menus if Im feeling brave enough.

Congrats to all of the losers and those getting SOTW (sorry can't remember who it was - so many people on this thread now )
