I like my group as there generally nice to my Face? However there's been a few snyde comments that are all mounting up and starting to make me feel a bit naff? Fridays wobble was because some one posted on the fb group how its unhelpful when people brag how they've had Chinese/nandos etc and have lost weight? Which I took to be a dig at me as I've admitted openly in group I save syns for such things and I've lost weight?
Just dishearten by it at the mo?
However I've been out for lunch today and left the burger bun n just had the grilled chicken n dd had the chips
However an hour in softplay has just about killed me offin agony

Daisy the job centre here is laughable.
I'm taking a career break while I bring up dd alone - her father walked out on us. But I'm still having the career break I had planned? Whether people want to judge me or not is their prerogative but I want to spend 4 years with her. And the job centre on my meetings have basically said to me - you have 4 years will u return to work? Me yes? Them okay then bye see you in a year. Its disgraceful I'm lucky that I should be able to return to my career unless I decide to retrain which I'm undecided over but its very much accepted ur not working here no push back into working cxxStarted sw 02/09/13 - total loss so far -5st 1lb

Re exercise - my consultant always says u dont need to exercise with sw to lose weight. Exercising will simply tone u up... However my sister lost 2 stone through the gym alone n not changing her food so I don't know ideally I'd up my exercise but going to start upping the walking again

Hello everyone,
Welcome to Michele & Bliss, and good luck with your SW journey.
Michele, if you've joined a group, you will have a 'Lifeline Online' PIN number written at the back of your book (where your weight progress is p.86) for you to register online. There you can use the 'food diary' (in 'Weight Loss Tools'), and when you select your day, you can choose green/original/extra easy. When you're initially adding things, remember to check the 'favourites' box, and it'll add it to a favourites list you can use to list your food choices for that day. I find it invaluable for adding up my syns as I go along, and also having a quick place to find Healthy Extra choices. Now I find I've got most syn values for foods I eat on a regular basis all stored in favourites, along with all the free stuff too. :T
Shala - I love that dress from M&S (good price too!). If you feel it needs an injection of colour, then accessories are your friend
Gallygirl - Whoohoo! for SOTM, well done!
Mildredd - sounds like there's a touch of the green eyed monster in your group. 2.5lb I can gain in a couple of days given the right food, so if that's all you've gained in all that time, that's blimming marvellous in anyone's book, and perfectly normal. Isn't 'normal' what we're all striving for anyway? I've no idea why people can't be pleased for others? Probably something to do with the fact that they feel worse about themselves.
Lantanna - I forgot about the Curly Wurly's again! Sounds like you're a sucker for kettle bell punishment now. I've never been a size 12 as an adult either, that's my ultimate target, but as a short @rse it will take some doing (I'm just over 5'), so probably need to lose another 4 stone to get anywhere near.
Daisy - good luck with the job hunting. How did the meeting go today? I applied for 2 jobs today, and it's unheard of for there to be vacancies near where I live, so have jumped at the chance of these 2. I know I can do them, but not holding out much hope. Think I'd need to be 'local' and known to get a job here sometimes (old, small town mentality). Working for myself doesn't pay the bills well enough, so back out into the real world again for me eventually.
Have been baking today, but have resisted trying anything, but that's easier when it's for a client. Quite impressed that a gluten-free cake can be so light... in fact too light to carve, and I've got to make it look like a rugby ball eventually
Anyway, food plan today is Green, because I fancy cheese
B - Magic porridge (heb1), banana
L - Savoury rice, with leeks, mixed veg & mixed baked beans
D - Baked potato, mixed salad, cheese (hea1) mixed baked beans
HeA2 - milk in teas
Snacks - Kelloggs chewy delight (heb2), muller greek yogurt (0.5), and maybe a hot chocolate later this evening (2)
Total syns: 2.5 Ooh, that's low, I might even track down one of those Curly Wurly's if I can remember they're there later! One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Good morning everyone, I am new here, hope I can join in?
I joined SW last night, so today feeling a little bit daunted as to where to start. I would like to loose around 10lbs, which has been just creeping on in the last year.
I am a cereal girl through and through, but as I hadn't fully read everything this morning I had a yoghurt and and apple for breakfast. Then just found a syn free pancake, and had that for 11sies, with a teaspoon of maple syrup.
I work at home, so the kitchen has been calling me, and I have a sweet snacking tooth. Oh, and I'm vegetarian, so it will be quorn instead of meat for me.
There is a chicken (quron pieces for me) casserole in the slow cooker for tonight, syn free I hope, with loads of frozen casserole veg, a jar of tomato and herb sauce and some potatoes.
I'm making a shopping list today, so I can stock up tonight and feel more prepared.
I'm hoping to pick this up quickly, and maybe decide on my first week meal plan to make it easier.
Sorry, I'm in a big rush today but this jumped out at me. Michele, jars of sauce can be notoriously high in syns. When you get used to the plan you'll use passata/tomatoes and herbs to make your casserole syn free. Which sauce was it?:(
I've had SW meals so far today (baked beans and lentil soup and my HEXs) but off out for a carvery later. There are worse choices on SW.;)

Mildredd - Just ignore them! Seriously they do sound jealous! I'm the same I'm always honest about what I eat and our consultant always trys to shut people up when they start to declare the KFC's etc if they have still had a loss!
I'm doing the exercise now to tone up - if it shifts an extra couple of 1lbs then that's good but I majorily need to tone my !!! and belly!
Sary - don't be forgetting about them again now lol
Yes a size 12 trousers on the cards - whoo hoo0 -
Thanks for the welcome Maman, it was a jar from Aldi, tomato and herb pasta sauce, I generally use them to chuck in the slow cooker with chicken or sausage, I'll stock up on pasata instead!!
I'm going to register online and use the tracking there, just got to find time tonight once I finish work. Thanks again for the warm welcome, good to feel we are not alone.0 -

Hi all,
Was hoping I could pop in to join you.
I signed up to SW online on 13th Feb - 2 days before my birthday which probably wasn't the wisest of ideas I've ever had as I didn't truly start until Monday 17th.
I've been to SW groups before so I know it works for me but I don't feel I have the time to be able to commit to groups plus I didn't feel that lovely warm welcome that others talk about so I've joined online instead.
A bit about me - I'm 35 (eeek - that crept up on me), size 16 but only 5ft 3in so don't carry the weight well, married and have two fur babies but am trying for human ones - been trying since 2012 and fell PG in Dec but had a missed miscarriage of natural triplets in January - gutted!!!
I've always been overweight but have always managed to lose weight and then pile it back on - have done every diet under the sun but this works and it's healthy so it's certainly the best one to do.
Have signed up to the gold plan for 3 months so now I've parted with my money, I'm sticking to it!
Best wishes
Gelly

Thanks
Will you please put Hex2 down for 10.5 lbs for the challenge. Probably ambitious but it will take me to a 1.5 stone award
Today
B- Muesli and milk HEXA/B
L - new pots (HEXB) with smoked salmon and horseradish dressing (2.5 syns)
D - lamb with mixed spiced veg (think samosa filling but without the filo)
Snacks - apple
I will fritter some syns on a slice of chocolate roulade later but only if I make myself syn the recipe out first.
Mildredd, that must be annoying re group. tbh I have only been able to stay once so far because of the boys but my local group seems nice if rather long winded.
I too have clothes problems which is such a lovely issue to have. Most of my work trousers are like clown pants. Fortunately I have smaller sizes stashed away from last time so I just need to get organised. Give it a few weeks and I may even go clothes shopping without getting upset.
I also need bras post pay day. Trouble is I haven't got one fit to be worn whilst they are measuring'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0
