Afternoon all...
Yemma - I always wish I could walk to work, that's sounds like some great body magic and money saving too!
Saves £1.50 bus fare each wayI don't walk home too frequently- it's all very uphill and that seems to exacerbate my back problem if I've had a hard day at work. Managed today though :money:
Did a silly midweek weigh today which was showing a gain. Am ignoring and stepping away from the scales!
Well done Mrs R, great loss :T0 -
I like the NAS sugar Ribena but hae found Asdas NAS lime and lemon and think I prefer it its quite sharp and clean tasting. Its also much cheaper
Thanks for the tip, I'll try a bottle when I'm next in Asda.Happy to report a 1 lb loss.better than gaining.Just running on quickly- I lost 5lbs! :j my second biggest loss yet and I've finally shed the gain from awards ball- it only took me 2 months :rotfl:

TG, the recipe is from the SW All in One recipe book
Spiced Beef Free on EE
800g Lean Diced Stewing Steak all fat removed
3 garlic cloves crushed
2cm root ginger peeled and grated
(i use cheats garlic and ginger when I'm in a hurry)
1 teasp cumin, ground coriander, medium curry powder
4 red peppers cut into large chunks
2 lge onions
400g passata
800ml beef stock
1 cinnamon stick
2 cloves
3 cardamom pods lightly crushed
salt and pepper
coriander to garnish
Put beef, garlic, ginger, cumin, curry powder, coriander, peppers and onion into a pan, stir in passata and stock, cinnamon stick, cloves and cardamom. season and bring to the boil, cover and cook on low heat for 2 - 2 1/2 hrs.
I actually put it into my slow cooker and serve with rice
Delish, almost Rogan Josh flavours.
We had this today when we got home which was very welcome.
Lunch was late and it was sarnies and cake as I feared.
I had half a sandwich which was lovely as it was granary bakers bread:eek: tuna and cucumber. No idea what spread there was on it, think there was some mayo so have roughly calculated 7 syns. I refused the cake:A But had some fruit on the way home in the car:A:A
Back on training tomorrow morning so now I know what lunch will be will take Overnight oats with us.
A bit gutted also as I WI this afternoon as I couldn't get to class this morning and i've gained 1/2lb.
Have been over my diary and I was at the top of my syns for 3 days but nothing else that jumps out. Also did more walking than the last few weeks as I was poorly for the last few weeks, who knows!
Doesn't bode well for next weeks WI I'm away at the weekend for a family gathering. Back to where I come from for the interment of my mum and dad's ashes. Very emotional time. We all normally went home and had a base, met the family, cooked and ate. Family home is now gone so B&B and eating out. Onwards and upwards, keep on ploddin on as my Dad would say.
Definately need me choccie buttons tonight.
Thanks for the recipe, it looks good though I think I'll use chicken as I'm not a beef fan.
I wouldn't worry about the tiny gain (apart from anything else, you're always heavier in the afternoon than in the morning) - stick to plan and it'll iron itself out over the next week. I prefer to look at the general downward trend over about 4 weeks, rather than a weekly thing, it always looks better over a month
I hope your weekend goes well. As you say, it'll be emotional, but it's finalising things and you can then start to look forward again
Welcome to BunnieJ and have a super holiday MamanI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Back to EE for today:
B - bacon, egg, beans & mushrooms
L - LO butternut squash, lentil & chickpea curry, WW wholemeal pitta (HEB)
D - LO roast pork, potatoes, peas & green beans
HEA will be milk throughout the day in tea
Ended up with 6.5 syns yesterday so have 8 syns left for today and tomorrow:eek:. Will need to eat extra fruit rather than synful stuff! (Once I've been shopping to get some more, LOL!)
Have a brilliant holiday Maman.
