  • Afternoon everyone (I'm still here...still trying to do SW but had a hectic weekend - had the grand-kids over...Big H decided he wanted an early start to the day so we were up from 5.30 yesterday *weeps*) Marathon training is going ok...hubby and I are heading away on wednesday for 10 days...I'll get some good running done then)

On the scales I'm staying the same...but I have lost bodyfat (from the new year when I started SW I've lost more or less a stone but have gone from 39% BF to this morning 30%BF...I guess that I'll have to content myself with small losses if any but good losses of BF until after this marathon is done.

I'll put my name down for the challenge but keep a realistic weight loss in mind....hope you are all well and happy!! :D

when is the next challenge starting? I need a wee incentive. I so need to get over that first stone hurdle.

    today: Red
    coffee with milk (HEa)
turkey salad, and fat free cottage cheese,
chicken stir fry (making fajitas for the family, I can do without the wrap)will use HEb pitta bread if I am allowed

HEb: 2 mini subrolls and maybe a pitta bread although I can't remember which ones are an HEb, they keep changing, is it Asda wholemeal ones?
Fruit for snacks, banana with activia creamy yoghurt (2.5syns)

    syns: not sure yet.

All this talk of clothes and knickers, I can't wait until I fit into something half decent :rotfl:

Tempted to have a binge but then I'm thinking if I binge its more weight to lose next week :@ pah

    DO NOT BINGE!!!!!!!!!!!

    STEP AWAY FROM THE FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!

Its a very small gain - thought I totally get why you are annoyed! But look how far you have come - I'd 3 lbs on over Christmas so no how you feel but if you get back into it you'll get it off ASAP.

You and Beanie are going to go on the naughty step!!

Only ones that are free now are the WW ones, I still had asda ones to use so I just counted them as HEB + 1 syn but its entirely up to you x

Afternoon all, I'm ninja'ing on very quickly during my lunch break (which is fast disappearing, sigh...) plus I typed a message this morning on the train and lost signal while it was trying to post it so it was lost :( I didn't have time to retype it either

So, a reflection on my first week:

    - my danger points are clearly any time outside of work - weekends and my mid week late shift that I'm at home for. I need to plan myself much better around this 'danger spots'
    - our food budget was tight before I started SW, and now we're treating ourselves to fruit and natural yoghurt in the evenings, etc... it feels like it's battering our food budget quite hard. We need to suss cheaper wasy of doing this if possible..

So, today (you can tell I'm back in work - it's so much healthier :rotfl:)

B: Porridge soaked in natural yoghurt and fruit (hexb)
L: HM roasted veg cous cous, with hm SW falafel (I now stink of garlic in the office :rotfl:)
    D: SW egg and chips

Milk in tea during day (hexa)

No syns planned but hoping to save as many as possible to make up for the dire food at the weekend - whoops

I'd suggest you plan for Wednesday by having loads of easy SW friendly food around. For me that would be loads of cold meat and pickles type stuff for picking at: tikka chicken, drumsticks, cornichons, pickled onions and maybe make a frittata. Then if you have something easy for actual meals like soup or JPs you should be fine.

I'm a very lazy cook when it comes to puddings. I'd go for raspberries and meringue (can smash it up into Eton Mess if you want) and then serve with 0% Greek yogurt and cream for others if they want.

Thanks for the tips & recipes Maman and MacPep. Going to make a big pot of soup for lunches this week and will make sure fridge has plenty of pickles in as I like them but can't shovel them in!

Decided to do garlic and lemon chicken with roasted veg cous cous for dinner with an individual SW chocolate mouse with raspberries on the side. That way there won't be any left overs and men folk won't feel like they've been diddled!

Not needed to buy any smaller clothes as I have a range of sizes in the wardrobe and loft. I tend to buy dresses which don't date as I've never been much of a follower of fashion. I did have a clear out during the Christmas holidays and got rid of 36 via E-Bay and charity shops so I now have a little stash of cash to treat myself to a few new bits when I get back into a size 14.

Shala-Moo, thanks for volunteering to get the chart started. I will give the challenge a go in order to keep me focused. Based on the 1.5lb I have been losing on average I am going to aim for 10lb.
