Maman - Don't think my cup size is ever going to change either - but hell I'll get that back size down more if it kills me lol

Amberfinn - Sounds like I'm a similar shape to yourself!! I had to go for a Bridesmaid fitting recently and my hips, bust and middle were three different dress sizes completely!

Really hope it is too big when it comes and not too small - as it concerned me the next day when she rang me to say that she didn't know what size to order me as my measurements were all over the place !!! Freak out !!

    Morning all
Oh Lantanna it sounds like you are lucky when it comes to clothes! Me see I still have the same style as what I did when I was a 24, except in smaller sizes- casual wear is either a tracksuit (except now they're slightly more expensive- when I was bigger it would be a Yours one or a NL one if I could find one but now it's a Lipsy, Hollister or Pineapple one) or a long jumper with a long sleeved top and jeans. Dresses for me are absolute hell- I'm small busted with narrow shoulders so the only dresses that suit me are the Grecian type ones but they must have conventional straps- strapless doesn't work for me and neither does halterneck :( or failing that knee length structured A-line ones. I don't do short dresses (I'm not and never have been a girly girl and even though I do have good legs I have tattoos on my ankles and feet and even with tights I don't feel comfortable) bodycon dresses strike fear into me (I think due to the fact I still have the mentality that I'm a size 24 which mum is forever telling me off for!) in fact most dresses I wouldn't wear which is why I'm so utterly determined to cling onto the dress I've bought for awards ball as it would be so utterly hellish to find another!! It doesn't sound good that you have buckets for knickers lantanna- oh dear! I have to confess I have loads of lovely printed boy short types from Debenhams in a 16 and 18 but I can't keep any of them up now! However I will happily admit I am still wearing the size 24 black granny pants I wore when I was bigger :rotfl: they're incredibly comfy and despite them being so massive don't fall down :rotfl:
WI tonight and ikea with OH this afternoon so have a good day all xx

    Evening all.

maman re stovies - there are so many different variations! originally it was just potato & onion I believe. Now they usually include meat. It can be leftover roast bits, or corned beef or, like mine, sausages. My mum, God bless her, always used the cheapest of the cheap round slice sausages. Adding carrots is sacrilege, according to some. You can google assorted versions. It is supposed to be a cheap meal, so not much meat really required.

My wee nana used to make the best stovies!!! Always made with mince, onion, carrot & potato & loads of gravy, we used to get it served in a soup bowl with plain bread with lashings of butter

Nooooo . Slice sausage should be square .

Noooooo . Serve with HP brown sauce - and more stovies :T

Agree, all scots call it square sausage, but we never had it in our stovies.

    Hiya!

gallygirl, square slice is for putting on a roll with fried onion and mustard - drool

I agree - but without the mustard mmmmmmnomnomnom

    Hi All

Had a read through all the posts, sound like the profits on the high street are going to be up soon with you all having to buy new clothes/bras & knickers (I used to make knickers for M & S) :rotfl:.

SeaBee - I made a lovely dessert at the weekend & I am not much of a pudding person, made up SF Jelly, poured into 4 individual wine glasses, mixed up some quark with a little sweetener & Muller vanilla, then some blueberries through the mix, spooned this on top of set jelly then decorated with quartered strawberries round the edge & a big strawberry on the side of the glass. I took a picture but don't know how to post it, I eat with my eyes & looked very very good & tasted lovely as well for 1/2 syn :D.

I stayed on plan all weekend, have now counted my syns up & I am 4 over for the week, hopefully it will not reflect on the scales tonight.

Menu for me today:- (keeping it light until after WI)

B - Toffee muller, banana, kiwi
L - Dyno Rod Soup, Melon, Pineapple
D - Mexican Bake (HEA) with side of veg will eat this After WI., plum
HEB - 2 Alpens later on tonight.

Syns so far - 1 for milk in tea/coffee
    Drinks - 1 green tea, 1 x tea, 1 x coffee 600ml water.

Mrs Ryan - I know with buckets for knickers its as well I'm single lol!!! :rotfl:

Isn't it amazing how we are all different shapes and sizes and never happy !! :rotfl:

I have wide shoulders so would kill for smaller shoulders.

I wouldn't worry too much about the tattoos - I think you are in the minority if you don't have any (which is me)!
Though as you say its all about being comfortable isn't it!

  • Afternoon folks, not logged on for a couple of days and so much to catch up on!! In regards to the clothes debate, I tend to get most of my stuff from New Look and Tesco - the plus size stuff in New Look is lovely and I tend to stick with loose dress / tunic type stuff with leggings and cardis. Really looking forward to getting back into my size 16 jeans, I refuse to buy any others!!

Been really sluggish and bloated over the weekend with having my ladies, so I've decided to cut out bread to give myself a bit of a boost. Having a green day today:

Breakfast: Weetabix with semi skm milk and banana (HEXA and HEXB)
Lunch: Quorn chilli cheese dogs (1 syn for 2 quorn hot dogs HEXB2 for cheese)
Dinner: Veg rogan josh made with superfree veg and rice.

Snacks are mullerlight, fruit and HL choc mousse (6 syns)

Have a great day everyone xx
