Gym this morning. Feeling this week's hard work had really made a difference as managed a run albeit a slow and short one.
Syn'd on rum and coke Fri and sat night but saved syns so remained on track, even with 2 bags of bacon flavoured crisps.
So meals today,
B porridge
L jacket potato, small blob of butter, beans, itty bit of cheese, salad
T thinking chicken fried rice sw style or chicken stew.
Puddings will be fruit or Berries with yogurt.
Been keeping tabs of intake on my fitness pal and a little shocked on my tea drinking calories, I do like a brew... but using skimmed milk only. Can only tolerate water whilst working out or immediately after, or if I'm on holiday. I seem to consume 1200 to 1500 calories following sw rules with peaks of 1600-1700 on my Fri and sat night. I do love the fact it tells you what you could weigh in 5 week's if ate like you had the day.

Afternoon all. Yesterday was weigh in day, I lost just half a pound but deserved that really as I had 2 rubbish lunches and a Krispy Kreme doughnut
Went to a friend's yeaterday and ate a tonne if rubbish so clearly not a good start to the sw week....
Today:
Brunch: Cous cous with roasted veg
Dinner: chilli con carne with rice
Have made some SW falafels. They started to go wrong in the pan (the mix seemed too wet) so I finished them off in the oven. Let's see how they go, hopefully edie so that I can have some lunch options in. Waiting for them to cool down at the mo

I used to be on this thread last summer, but for some reason my original user name won't allow me to post anymore, and I have no idea who to contact to sort it out? I have been a member since 2008 and last posted a couple of weeks ago on another thread I subscribe to, and I certainly didn't post anything nasty, lol, so I don't know what's going on.
Anyway, it's great to see so many of the same people on here still, still doing well and some new 'faces' too.
I lost 10lb of my desired 20 last summer, have kept it off and am now in the right frame of mind to lose the next 10. I gave up going to class because the woman running it was not only downright irritating, but she was really rude to me the last time I attended and was also sarcastic to someone else I knew there that I used to work with ( she also left). I got to know two ladies in my body pump class at gym who also wanted to lose weight,so they would meet me after class and we weighed ourselves every Friday and had a natter. Unfortunately they gave up after a few weeks
Anyway I am now back in the right head space and have been out this weekend to get the things that help me stick to plan: strawberries ,melon, fat free Greek yoghurt, quorn burgers, and lots of veg to make my own healthy soup.
Did anyone watch that programme that was on a few weeks ago, where they found that blended soup stays in your system a lot longer than liquid with pieces of veg floating in it? I have started to blend my veg soup right down. Now I don't know if it is psychological because I saw the research, but it really does seem to keep me satisfied for longer. If I have my home made soup around 1pm, I don't feel hungry until around 5, when I have a piece of fruit ( we don't eat dinner until about 6.30)
I think it makes sense. They likened it to a colander : if you pour water with lumps of veg into a colander the liquid pours through quickly, so that the stomach empties more quickly and hunger pangs are started. If you pour a thick pur!e into a colander however it takes ages for the liquid to seep through- if that was your stomach then you feel fuller, longer.
Sorry if this has already been posted. I just think its really interesting and it is working for me. Lunch has always been the difficult part of this olan for me, because my favoured lunch would be a sandwich or something on toast. Now that I have my lunch sorted with soup ( I do add some pearl barely and lentils into it for some protein) I can use my healthy extra b elsewhere which makes life a lot easier for me.
Finally , when I have lost this next 10lb I have revised my original goal and would like to try to lose another 7. To be honest , losing 10lb hasn't changed my dress size at all. I don't know if its because I don't have a huge amount to lose, but although I feel a little healthier I don't look much smaller to me, and if that is repeated when I lose my next 10lb then I am going to aim for another 7lb loss because I want to get back into the jeans I was wearing 10 years ago, which have become a bit of a benchmark for me. Losing that amount would still only place my BMI at 25, so I don't think I am being unrealistic!
Sorry for the long,rambling post!
Today I have had:
Breakfast-Melon and strawberries
Lunch- home made veg soup, an orange
I plan on a banana as a snack about 5pm
Dinner- home made quorn cottage pie ( I make a large dish and then portion it out to 4 servings so I have a quick meal later in the week)
SW Eton mess made with strawberries, one crumbled asda mini meringue and ff Greek yoghurt
HEA- milk in drinks
HEB - 2 small slices of wholemeal bread with my soup.
Syns- haven't decided yet! I have bought some small portion ziplock bags and have counted out some peanut m&ms , popcorn and smarties into them so that there's 5 syns per bag. I may be having a couple of small vodka and diet comes with my DD this evening instead though!0 -

Something like this - that one even looks a bit like camouflage :rotfl:. Wrap dresses rock. People will be too busy looking at your cleavage to notice your belly.

Hiya
I think I'm just going to buy the tunic in a 14. I went out last night and the only thing I could find to wear was the black skater dress that I used to have to wear multitudes of shapewear underneath. It hung on me like a limp dishcloth last nightI think it's going to get expensive on payday- I need 2 pairs of jeans as all my 18s are too big, another one of those tunics, another couple of going out type tops and I badly need new underwear. Meh..!!!
I've just come back from my MRI scan on my back. Not as bad as I imagined it to be- was about asleep by the end of it though!
Had 2 really good EE days. Weighed myself at Boots yesterday and I'm 14stone 9 which will mean I've lost 2lb and got my 2 stone award :j hoping for at least another 1lb off tomorrow- that will be a total loss of 4.5 stone for me and 6lbs to go till 5 stone lost- it would be lovely to say I had lost that by awards ball but not good news for my dress though..!!

Welcome (back) almost free. Interesting about the soup. I had chunky beef & vegetable soup at lunchtime. I do it a bit like cawl with a bit of shin (just a tiny bit for flavour) and loads of veg chopped roughly so the 'liquid' is like a consomm!, not thickened at all. While I was eating it I was looking forward to the lentil soup I'm making tomorrow as that's so much thicker and more satisfying.
Feeling a bit hungry again already (so maybe theory's correct) so I'll have a banana soon to keep me going until supper time.0
