Wow, some great losses, well done.

I have been invited for lunch at my friend's house for a catch up, I haven't seen her for ages. No idea what she is making, last time she made pizza. I have been careful with syns this week so far, so shouldn't do too much damage (I hope)

B: scrambled eggs mushrooms, spinach, banana
    L: at friend's house
T: piri piri chicken with home made wedges and salad

    Asking your opinions please?

Would it be cheeky if I took a fruit platter over to my friend's lunch date? I would take flowers anyway. People take cakes or whatever, don't they? I don't want to be awkward and tell her I am on a diet etc or ask what we're having, so I thought maybe a nicely arranged fruit platter would be good and we can munch on that after lunch as we natter and catch up on all our news, instead on cakes or chocolate. This friend is super slim by the way, all her family is, her sisters, her mother, always been slim. What do you think?

Mumoftwo... I think that sounds like a nice idea, I'd like it, but does your friend eat a lot of fruit? You could always just say you are trying to be a bit healthier instead of explaining you're on a diet or that you were craving some fruit...

    Great losses everyone:T:T

Mildredd - your menu wasn't a green day to the letter, you should have had another B choice and the rest of your A (if not another A as well) but if you weren't hungry then I don't believe in forcing yourself to eat stuff just because it conforms to plan :D

its given me a kick up the bum , im buying a 12 week countdown next week as its 12 weeks till holibobs , i want to be back to 8stone so have 12lbs to lose !!
BUT i have my husbands 50th birthday party on sunday !!!!!
My consultant mentioned at group yesterday that there is a new book coming out and they are going to be given away FREE with a 12 week countdown course but she wasn't sure when it was starting but thought it could be either next week or the week after (she'd forgotten to write down the start date for the offer and her memory is terrible!) so might be worth waiting for that?

I think it's a great idea! I can't see why it would be awkward but you can say something along the lines of you've decided to try and eat a bit healthier than you used to. I'd be really pleased if someone bought me a fruit platter rather than a bunch of flowers (I don't really have anywhere to display flowers where I can see them, apart from on the dining table!)

Another EE day today, as well as all over the weekend, although it won't be completely on plan whilst away as going with my kids and DD2 is sorting out lunches ; I'm doing evening meals. Breakfasts will be SW fry up. Most syns will be wine as usual!

    Plan today:

    B - toast, marmite; strawberries
    L - tuna fishcakes; salad
D - burger, onions in bap 7.5 syns

Have got fruit and yoghurts if I need any more snacks.

The book is Little Bites. I looked at it last night. Things like stuffed tomatoes etc. Quite a nice little book but didn't see anything in it that I would personally make.

    Morning everyone

Still to read back and catch up but Mildredd your gravy recipe caught my eye:) love, love, love gravy over mashed potatoes, don't even need meat.

Today food will be EE -

Breakfast - wholemeal roll with bacon and tomatoes

Lunch - smoked ham, huge salad with gerkins, pickles and beetroot. Strawberries and vanilla Muller light.

Dinner - SW spaghetti bolognaise. Pineapple and mango chunks.

Test today will be having no milk in coffee so I can have parmesan with dinner. Don't want to use syns cos I'll need them for wine!!

Lovely and sunny here today. Hope it's out all weekend as I have at last worked up enough energy to tackle the garden.

Have a good day all x

Still not really thinking about today food wise. I will have some cereal shortly (HeB and part HeA) then leave thinking about the rest until bf rises. He was up for just over an hour from 01.45 until almost 03.00 but has been asleep again since then. Not so helpful for me as I'd like to get the washing machine on, and vac the living room again. I also need to bath doglet as he's picked up fleas in the week :( we mainly keep him in the garden with short walks at home but whenever he goes s somewhere where he has much much longer walks (1hr plus most days) like bf's folks or my parents he seems incredibly susceptible to the blighters though he was at the end of a flea dropper cycle (due a new one after his bath tomorrow) so that probably didn't help! Bah oh well.

Looking at the weather there will be no BBQ today :(

I'm not expecting bf to want to do much of anything today after 24hrs travelling home from Alabama so I may occupy myself sorting the kitchen cupboards - must find somewhere to buy a mid size storage box or two for one of my cupboards without a shelf.

Ooh bf is now also on a fresh healthy eating kick and has asked me to find some healthy flapjack recipes for him :-) don't mind that at all as I have tons of oats to use up just need a healthier sugar sub (agave syrup maybe?) And some yummy additions :-)

Off to have some cereal and think about the flapjacks (and other healthy meals) :-)

These posts got me thinking that I have lots of 'accidental' Green days. These are days when I set out to do EE but the actual amount of meat I have is so tiny it so would easily count as a HEB. That way any SF I have becomes a bonus rather than essential. I virtually never have any SF with my breakfast. I just play catch up through the day and have loads of veg with supper. I'm a very lazy fruit eater so while I may have the occasional banana I have to be really in the mood to cut and peel anything else. And I certainly agree that forcing down HEXs isn't necessary. If it happened every day and you had no calcium ever then it would be a problem but going without now and again isn't an issue.

jellybaby, not sure how much Parmesan you would have on Bolognese but grated you get a fair bit for 30g. maybe you could split your HEX?

I had wine syns last night, unplanned.:o

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, HEA milk, 2 fried eggs
L: ham, fried veg and pickles
D: chicken casserole with loads of veg

I've got myself in a muddle about how much I've lost as it started out using my scales then changed to using my neighbours who goes to slimming world....so don't know how to work out what I lost now. On my scales I've lost 1st 2lb on hers I've lost 6lb but that's in a shorter time than I started with mine grr

Feeling more than a bit disillusioned today :( despite sticking rigidly to plan all this week and pushing myself so hard with the body magic that I'm in agony today  my scales still defiantly tell me that I have put on three pounds. And those three pounds ain't budging. I really can't understand how? I've done my best to move things around- my mate reckons it's my body telling me it's had enough, it's gone as far as it's going and maybe I should call target- 5.5lbs off my target!! really don't know what I can do- there's only so much stuff I can do in the microwave and I can't up my superfree either as can't afford to :( I thought about cutting out rice, pasta, potatoes and cereal (I don't eat bread) but if I did that I would end up starving myself as that's the mainstay of my diet!! Anyone any suggestions?!
