Went to WI this morning and unbelievably, I've no idea how, but I've lost 1lb this week so now only have 1.5lb to "bottom end" - not been there for a long time:rotfl:.

Well done on your loss joedenise. :T
Unfortunately I like the batter just as much if not more than the fish. Mum fancied some fish and chips but she doesn't want me to get them for her as she says its not fair when I'm not eating them and it would be too much temptation. Bless her she's 86. Perhaps a bit further down the line I might get her to share some with me.
Visited a friend yesterday who knows I'm doing SW (Mum let the cat out of the bag) - I didn't want to say anything as I was just going to wait until she could start and see the results. Well she offered me a date (the fruit kind) I took it and just checked up they are 2 syns each  Pre SW days I would have eaten a full box whilst watching tv - hence one of the reasons I am doing SW now.
Noticed some of the supermarkets have the blue bags of M & M's on for a £1 - daren't go anywhere near them as I would probably struggle to ration them out each night. They are my favourite ones as well
Having Cola Chicken for tea will let you know how it goes later.
Oh well I will go and do a bit more now.

I've ordered some of that Kingsmill great white in my Tesxo order next week - I do find not eating bread often restricts me as if I have wraps with bf I find I need two to feel full and its just silly syn wastage!
About to get myself some lunch as I've been on the go for a few hours so haven't had chance yet. Discovered the doglet appears to have fleas so I've been and got him flea tablets and given him one, treated most rooms (except the room we are in and the kitchen) washed his bedding etc so won't have much to do tonight to have shown the pests the door :-) means I've done a 1mile quick walk plus lots of body magic around the house
Bf is just a couple of hours from home (at last!) So I am going to eat quickly then crack on with a couple of jobs to be ready for him :-) plan for tonight is a treat meal for him but carefully synned for me even if its a take away :-)************************************

Are those the crispy ones? My daughter brought crispy M&M's in the other day and oh my goodness me, they are good. I told her to get them right away from me cause I would have happily munched my way through the packet.:o
Just back from work, have to go and vote and then do the housewifey, motherly stuff, will be back later to read back etc0 -
I've just got back from tesc0 and they had hardly any different flavours - just the mainstream ones and only on one shelf.. are mullers not as popular as they used to be?
I think the lack of Mullers on the shelf is due to an increase in popularity rather than the opposite......probably due to Slimming Worlders everywhere shouting about how lovely they areI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
You'd be my perfect chip shop partner.. I usually peel the batter off, eat it then give the fish to the cat :rotfl:
Oh my, what a lucky cat :rotfl:
We were talking about fish and chips in group - one elderly lady is off to Scarboro' and wanted someone to tell her the syn value of them. The Consultant said "well you can have the fish syn free if you take off the batter" to which the lady replied "Oh good, I'll eat the batter separate then". She couldn't understand why everyone laughed :rotfl::rotfl:I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Weigh in soon.
We shall see!!!

Thanks Sary,
Can you tell me why the frozen are different to the chilled cause mine were chilled when I bought them and frozen when I cooked them.0 -
wizkid1 - It's whether they were chilled or frozen when you bought them not when you cooked them. So the syns will be what they were chilled (when you bought them) not frozen (when you cooked them).

They're the ones mumoftwo. Even when the others are on offer those ones always seem to be excluded.

Have a lovely evening lush
When I was in Iceland this afternoon a pack of Magnum Marc de Champagne lollies jumped into my basket  I guessed they were pretty high in syns but decided that I would save them until after wi next Monday. I will either have one to celebrate a loss or commiserate a gain. Even though they are a pack of three, I am sharing them with DH and DS (maybe). Cannot find exact syn value but I guessed around 13 syns. Roll on Monday evening
DH is in kitchen finishing off meal (cola chicken) and has done a root mash with some ginger added to give it a bit of zing. Will give you the verdict on that later.
