If you buy 10 Mullerlights for £6 in Tesco, they print you a £3 price promise voucher off your next shop as you could have got it cheaper elsewhere. Saves having go to go to Morries if it's not your normal place Xx

So do they print it with your receipt?
I dident know that as I hardly go to Mr T.
But would go more often to save me trailing to Mr M.
    Get sooo tired shopping.
Have to weigh that up with saving money.
What I mean is I cant trail round different shops to save money as I get tired & then fall.
    Gah.

Right ramble-y post so feel free to ignore, just needed to get it down.. :D

Thanks for all your messages but my pity party is officially over.. I had a temper tantrum last night and had a fish and chip supper, OH who usually joins me in my naughty quests had a healthy tea instead so I felt suitably ashamed at stuffing my face :o but still did it..

I am choosing to be obese because of the choices I put in my gob, and as a grown up I need to recognise that I make those choices.. No one forces me at gun point or anything so  at me.

So this morning I have chosen to get up and do my exercise DVD, had a nice shower scrub thing and now I'm going to make my lunch which will be on plan.. I'm not listening to any excuses from myself of why I should eat a big fat sandwich instead of a lovely jacket potato.. No!

    So plan for today Green
B - not hungry so not eating
L - jacket potato, salad, cheese A, pickles
T - chicken B, egg fried rice, stir fry veg (with peppers, which I don't like yet, but I'm making myself like!)
    S - ryvita crunch B, spread 2, milk A

    Exercise - Davina DVD, gardening

I haven't put down many syns yet but if I choose to have anything there's a curly wurly in the fridge..

Word of the day - choice :rotfl:

They do like a price check thing Beanie, so it should just be a till spit when you get your receipt. I think you have to buy a certain number of items for them to check it but it's all automatic.

E.t.a. just checked, and you have to buy 10 different items for the checker to kick in.

This is something I've wondered about. I heard people at group say they saved their syns for the weekend, and I've seen that a few on here bank syns. I'm sure that was frowned upon my first time round. Is it "ok" to do now?

It probably still is frowned on in official circles but last week my consultant asked me to tell the group how I work it! I think the issue is that some people like to have a treat every day while others can cope with saving them up. So I suppose it's a willpower thing. Personally I prefer to have the freedom to drink a whole bottle of wine if I want to whereas others (congratulations mim:T) are happy to have just one drink and stop.

Good to see you back lush and many congratulations to you and BF. Good idea to get back to SW while he's away. I've looked up what you asked but can't find some of them especially Lidl stuff.
Would anybody be so lovely as to check syn values for the following? I don't always trust the ones I find via Google as often they are from some time ago:

*crownfield muesli and banana cereal bars (from Lidl)
    * areo mousses
*wispa hot chocolate 5.5 for 27.5g
*kania roasted veg flavour cous cous (from lidl)
*newgate cream of tom soup (from Lidl) Bulwark brand from Lidl is 10
    * newgate cream of chicken soup (from lidl) again Bulwark is 13
    * blue dragon chow mein stir fry sauce 6
*asda stroganoff casserole mix (dried) 6.5 but it's a Chosen by You one
*colmans chicken supreme mix (dried) 8.5
    * maggi cheesy chicken and leek potato bake mix (dried sachet) 11.5 for chicken and bacon
*tesco wafer thin smoked ham FREE!!

am I right in thinking mild chilli powder would be free? Definitely!!

    Hi Maman!

It is much easier to kick start without him here but he has been saying how he is now missing all the salads etc so...yay!

thank you for those syn values :)

*crownfield muesli and banana cereal bars (from Lidl) - hmm may estimate 5 per bar then. they are small but better to over estimate
    * areo mousses - aero (darn my typing) Google says 4.5...hmm will def be leaving bf's treats alone then!
*wispa hot chocolate 5.5 for 27.5g
*kania roasted veg flavour cous cous (from lidl) - i think this is 2.5for the whole packet but obviously no idea if the recipe has been changed etc...think I'll count 2 per half packet to be safe!
*newgate cream of tom soup (from Lidl) Bulwark brand from Lidl is 10
    * newgate cream of chicken soup (from lidl) again Bulwark is 13 -
eep! good thing I only eat half a can a time and we rarely have tinned soups!
    * blue dragon chow mein stir fry sauce 6 - only 1.5 per serving...much less than i thought!
*asda stroganoff casserole mix (dried) 6.5 but it's a Chosen by You one. That's the one - so rounding that up to 2 per portion (plus milk etc)
*colmans chicken supreme mix (dried) 8.5 - just over 2 per serving then (plus any milk etc)
    * maggi cheesy chicken and leek potato bake mix (dried sachet) 11.5 for chicken and bacon - I'll use that one - so 3 (nearest whole number) per portion if serving 4. Not as bad as I thought...although obviously have to factor in any milk etc
*tesco wafer thin smoked ham FREE!! = winner! the ham we had before wasn't...not as far as I remember so this is awesome news for me )

Hmm not as bad as I was expecting then!

A quick take away question - we will be eating loads less take aways as bf will be away so much over summer but one thing I never grasped even at group was in the book it says the syn values are 'average portion...per serving' now I always took that to be half of a standard take away container...does that sit/sound about right?

I feel like a newbie all over again!

Glad to see you back on board Shala. Went to a study day a few years ago which was the best day ever. He talked a lot about choice and that everything we do is because we choose to do it.

Oh Aero! that's 4.5 so not bad for a treat.

I always assumed that when you have your foil tub of main course from a take away that was one serving. Maybe I'm just greedy!:o:rotfl: It'll be interesting to know what others think.
