beanielou we also have no veg stalls or market. Do you have a lidl or aldi? Since we shiftd from mr t our shops have literally halved and i can get nearly everything i need (have to go to mr t occasionally to stock up on brown rice and douwe egbert coffee) choice is less but this is probsbly also good for me - more seasonal stuff and get round shop in half the time
Edit - oops looking back it was mrs r who was looking to saveMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Hope everyone had a nice Saturday
I was at work, so the usual breakfast and lunch for me
Breakfast: muller light Greek coconut 1/2, satsuma, strawberries
Lunch: 3 ryvita sesame HEB, 1 mini tub light Philly 1/2HEA, ham, tomato, melon
Dinner: steak (trimmed), tomatoes, broccoli, wedges (frylight), balsamic onions, extra light mayo (1)
Muller light cappuccino (sent my bf out for more!)
Syns Greek coconut muller 1/2, Mayo 1, mini meringue 1, coffee syrup 2.5 (latte with rest of HEA), rocky road hifi light 3 = 8
Was planning on a kitkat but the evening ran away with me. Biggest triumph today- made some free balsamic red onions and they were SO nice. Will have again for sure.
Work again tomorrow, then roast dinner! Not looking forward to the modifications, but never mind.0 -
Another EE day for me:
Breakfast - Magic Porridge (HEB), banana
Lunch - Speed soup, orange
Tea - SW Chicken and Mushroom Medley, new potatoes, baby sweetcorn, grapes
Supper - 3 Babybel Lights (HEA), Highlights (2 syns)
The Chicken and Mushroom Medley that I had for tea was so easy and quick to make, using simple, everyday ingredients and was absolutely delicious. Will definitely become one of my favourite recipes.:)0 -
Just made the szechaun beef, AMAZING, kick to it too, so nice.
Today was
B - Huge fruit salad
D - Ryvita with extra light laughing cow triangles and rest of the mackerel pate with celery and carrot sticks
T - Szechuan beef and chips
Breakfast and dinner mega super free so letting myself off not doing a side salad with tea, which has peppers in anyway.
HEXA - Milk/3 triangles
HEXB - Ryvita
Syns - 2 for tea as had a double portion
It's all going to go wrong tomorrow for football, Tuesday for the funeral and next weekend but I'm not going away this summer so am having this as my week off. I will still syn Mon, Wed, Thurs and try and super speed and WI both Mondays but I'm simply not prepared not to eat and drink exactly what I like on those five days, sorry if I'm a let down
You're not a let down at all. I do much the same with all my meals out. It's getting straight back on that wagon that counts. SW has to be workable in RL.
SNAP! We had the Szechuan beef too and I loved it!! Can't believe that something so yummy is 'diet' food. I went a bit too overboard on the chillis so will have less next time. Added mushrooms and beansprouts for SFs and to cut down on beef. I'll do chips another time too and maybe boiled rice. I used just one steak (from Aldi) thinly sliced, for two of us so another meal in the freezer for another day.Hope everyone had a nice Saturday
Work again tomorrow, then roast dinner! Not looking forward to the modifications, but never mind.
What modifications? I enjoy SW roasties (very healthy and easy to cook) so often the gravy is the only syns and it's so easy to pile on the SFs with a roast.0 -
Hiya
I don't have a cooker full stop ShalaI have to do all my cooking in the microwave. Even if we did have a cooker I'm unsure I could use it anyway because of my disability
We shop at Tesco. I have to rely solely on OH to a) pay and b) transport myself and shopping as we live rurally and he refuses to entertain Aldi or LidlI eat a lot of the Value stuff but it's things like yoghurts, MugShots and fruit and veg that get me. Today I bought apples, bananas, mango, frozen peas, frozen sweetcorn and frozen fruit salad. That alone came to £15! My Mullerlights were £6 for 10 which I admit isn't that bad but that's £21 on fruit, veg and yoghurt alone
when I have salad I need the ready prepared stuff which is generally just bland various bits of lettuce so I don't have it
I shouldn't complain to be fair I know. It just struck me that when I used to eat rubbish our shopping cost about £60-70 a week! OH doesn't really complain so I shouldn't either. It just feels like it costs so much to do SW sometimes

Managed to do some exercise every day this week which I am happy about.
Changing it up between the bike, weights and the evil sit up roll bar of doom. Hoping to manage to help tone my belly and arms to help with the saggy skin.
Had 3 staff phone in sick today so not the best day food wise. Have not had enough SF
Breakfast 2 x alpen light (old style), hard boiled egg, 1 x muller light dessert style yoghurt
Lunch - noodle deli box, apple
Tea - jacket pot, beans, 2 x laughing cow light triangles, tuna, beetroot, muller light dessert style yoghurt.
Snacks 3 x crab sticks, 2 x hard boiled egg, apple, wotsits.
Hea, milk in cuppas, 2 x laughing cow light triangles
heb - 2 x alpen light bars
Syns - muller light dessert style yoghurts 2, wotsits 5, skimmed milk 2 TOTAL 9.0 -
Mrs-R - Mull Lights are on noffer in Mr M for 10 for £3 until 18 May - do you have other supermarkets locally other than Mr T? I use mysupermarket to check prices of things I know will be on offer.
Would your OH entertain Aldi if he knew his bill would be much reduced? It is difficult I know as I too have health issues. Managing to Aldi shop with my trolley once a week though and DH goes where I ask him to - bless.July 16 £95/£200
Nov 16 £0/£200

We're having pork, so no crackling which is the main  I've had SW chips and wedges the past two nights so I think I'll give roasts a miss today - they were nice but not *as* nice so I'll have mash. And no apple sauce. I'm sure it'll still be lovely, I just *love* roasts, partly because I don't have to cook it, bf is an expert0 -
I only shop at tesco too mrsR. I tend to buy the other free or low syn yogurts rather than mullers and use just plain yogurt if it's with fruit. I'm not very good at cooking and stick to simple meals as long lists of ingredients and spices puts me off. I spend about 100 a week for 5 of us with nappies and pet food in that. My kids have free school dinners though so I don't do them big meals in an evening. Perhaps if you can tell us what you buy we could help suggest alternatives?Have a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T0

If you buy 10 Mullerlights for £6 in Tesco, they print you a £3 price promise voucher off your next shop as you could have got it cheaper elsewhere. Saves having to go to Morries if it's not your normal place XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
