I am on a mfw quest, so shopping economically is a key factor for me. We lived for 8 months without a kitchen completely (was a flat roof extension we knocked down in the April and didn't finish until the November) so we lived with a fridge, microwave and kettle (which frequently had to move into other rooms) and our eating habits did take a plunge as ready meals became a fairly common meal. Once I got the kitchen back, I took months to get back into the habit of cooking, that's what I think was a main factor in my weight gain.
Had wine and crisps last night so going to the gym now...Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!

We're having pork, so no crackling which is the main  I've had SW chips and wedges the past two nights so I think I'll give roasts a miss today - they were nice but not *as* nice so I'll have mash. And no apple sauce. I'm sure it'll still be lovely, I just *love* roasts, partly because I don't have to cook it, bf is an expert
I know how you feel I have just taken my roast pork joint out of the oven and my mouth was watering as I removed all of the crackling, but I did resist and have put it in the freezer to take to my brother he regularly does a roast for 6 and they fight over the crackling so a bit extra will be appreciated.
I cannot go without a bit of apple though and am trying it with uncooked chopped apple will see how it goes. and I will have roasties SW style.Slimming World at target0 -
Had a lovely time last night. It was the first social we had been to since we took up ballroom dancing in January. Managed to stick to one port and lemon and then had sparkling water for the rest of the evening. Someone in our group won a box of choccies at the raffle so had one of those.
B: 2 x wheatabix, mango & fat free natural yoghurt.
L: Lean Pork chop, mashed potato, cabbage, broccoli, sprouts & carrots, SW roasted parsnip, and bisto best gravy.
T: Boiled egg, ham, mozeralla cheese & green salad. Strawberries & quark
Milk for tea
Snacks: fruit
BM: 35 min Ballroom
Didn't use all my milk allowance yesterday so may use that to have a homemade skinny latte.Weight loss 0/2st

for Shala - WI with .8lb gain as expected (although not as much) with school trip and bread and then spending the rest of the week exhausted so evening meals were not good choices. I'm getting too old for these school trips, the stress of worrying about the kids in my charge is really draining my reserves. Was unusually stressful as around water for pond dipping, was a nightmare .
Good thing is it's only 2 weeks until half term, bad news is next term is 7 and half weeks long. This also includes new intake days so lots of 3 year olds AND another new teacher (had new teacher last year too). More stress just a different type. Wish me luck

I'm having pork too!:rotfl:
I have to say I'm not a fan of apple sauce but just lightly stewing it isn't going to add too many syns. I'm about to put mine in the oven and I use a Jamie Oliver recipe, cooking the joint on a bed of veg. I know what you mean about the crackling, very hard to resist.:(
I've had my A and B with porage for breakfast. At lunchtime I'll probably just snack on some fruit. Dinner tonight will be pork with roast potatoes and parsnips and then cauli, broccoli and some red cabbage.
Syns will be squirt of syrup with porage, gravy and wine syns. Quite a lot today but I save them for the weekends.
Oh and as it's the last day of the Premiership season I'll share a Crunchie with DH with my half time coffee!;)0 -

Tea - SW Chicken and Mushroom Medley, new potatoes, baby sweetcorn, grapes
The Chicken and Mushroom Medley that I had for tea was so easy and quick to make, using simple, everyday ingredients and was absolutely delicious. Will definitely become one of my favourite recipes.:)
Could I be cheeky and request the chicken and mushroom medley recipe? Sounds right up my street
Would anybody be so lovely as to check syn values for the following? I don't always trust the ones I find via Google as often they are from some time ago:
*crownfield muesli and banana cereal bars (from Lidl)
* areo mousses
*wispa hot chocolate
*kania roasted veg flavour cous cous (from lidl)
*newgate cream of tom soup (from Lidl)
* newgate cream of chicken soup (from lidl)
* blue dragon chow mein stir fry sauce
*asda stroganoff casserole mix (dried)
*colmans chicken supreme mix (dried)
* maggi cheesy chicken and leek potato bake mix (dried sachet)
*tesco wafer thin smoked ham
am I right in thinking mild chilli powder would be free?
All bits I eat regularly but I have only managed to get very fussy bf eating since not following SW so strictly but in the MSE mindset I don't want to just bin/give away if I can budget them in
Today (so far/as planned):
B: tea (milk from HeA), lean bacon and baby plum tomato omlette (done with frylight, no cheese), satsuma, pear
L: 1/2 pack roasted veg cous cous with added baby toms, beetroot, boiled egg, melon chunks
T: trimmed pork steak with rice and veggies followed by more melon
Drinks: NAS squash/tea
HeA: 250ml s/s/ milk
HeB: thinking porridge later on
Syns: 5 for 2xsmall chocs (cadburys misshapes again) may make myself a sauce of some kind for with tea so plenty of syns aside for that************************************

This is something I've wondered about. I heard people at group say they saved their syns for the weekend, and I've seen that a few on here bank syns. I'm sure that was frowned upon my first time round. Is it "ok" to do now?
Also noticed a syn free hummous recipe on the SW site, blended chick peas definitely used to be syns. I think! Lol.0
