Really annoyed with having a 2lb gain this week. I had 2 roast potatoes last weekend whilst out for a meal and a latte. It was my husband's birthday so I made him the chocolate wheatabix cake from the recipe list and I've had a slice of that each day. I thought I'd limited the damage the rest of the week but obviously not. I really need to get a few more pounds off before the end of June as I've got a dress to get into. I can get into it now but its on the tight side so a few less pounds would be good. Just have to try again this week.
Todays Menu
B: 1 wheatabix, cherries & blueberries, Yeo Valley fat free yoghurt.
L: Home-made chicken curry, Home-made vegetable bahji & rice.Instant noodles
Snacks: fruit
Milk allowance 350ml skimmed milk for tea.
Weeks Exercise;
2hrs 30 min callanetics
2 hrs Ballroom
5 min walking.
I have ME so have to be really careful in regards to energy useage. The above exercise has gradually been built up over several years/months.Weight loss 0/2st

Sorry to hear you feeling down Becks. I have heard of people having good results from shaking up their weightloss by combining SW with 5:2 or myfitnesspal.
The SAS log is so that your consultant can look at any pattern developing like odd syns creeping in or not enough syns or HEXs not measured or not enough SFs or any of the pitfalls that can stop SW working.
I'd agree that you keep posting on here even if you can't afford to go to group. We'll willingly check your food diary for free!;)
mim, I don't see any syns on your menu. You should be planning some and I'm pretty sure there are some in your yogurt.
I've done my meal plan and I'm off to do a shop. This is the first time I haven't shopped for a few odd days at a time since Easter. Good to feel back in control.0 -

I thought fat free yoghurt was syn free according to the sheet I've been given. I believe I'm doing EE. Also the chicken curry was made with chicken drumsticks so some syns in there I believe. I used 6 chicken drumsticks and also some diced chicken. I like to use meat on the bone when making curry as it gives better flavour, but OH and son don't hence the diced chicken. I've had 2 chicken drumsticks per meal (had it Thurs and Fri too).
Also I'm going out tonight and plan to have either a port and lemon or a gin and tonic, or even both, so need to allow for that. Does anyone know how many syns each of these drinks contain?Weight loss 0/2st

Hi all
Green day today. Been shopping and got some different bits to try- some of the free Linda McCartney sausages- planning to do another green day Wednesday so will have them with mash and beans. Bought some frozen veg as beginning to find fresh fruit and veg expensive. Noticed there were plenty of boxes of Alpen light (old recipe) but what i liked is they had separated the old and new recipe ones and made this clear. They were on offer as well :j I now have a stock of 6 boxes, hoping to make it to 10! Does anyone think it's possible to do SW on a budget? I'm on benefits and sometimes I do think it's all about moneysaying you must have this that and the other but not considering whether you can afford it.
luckily OH has a good job and earns good money but our weekly shop is rarely under £100 for just the two of us!
Anyway. Menu plan.
B: HEXB Tesco own brand Weetabix x2, HEXA s/s, banana, NAS Ribena
L: MugShot, cherry Mullerlight, 2 apples, NAS Ribena
T: SW carbonara- pasta, HEXA Laughing Cow light blue cheese, frozen peas. Frozen baby sweetcorn. Mango chunks.
S: watching Eurovision tonight so going to have a treatMy original plan went by the wayside thanks to OH! 1/4 cheese and garlic flatbread- 8.5 syns Packet of Hoops and Crosses (4.5 syns) HEXB porridge with Mullerlight
Syns: 13

Has anyone tried the Heck chicken Italia sausages? They are gluten free and low fat and I got mine from Mr T. They are made with chicken, basil, tomato and mozzarella and there are 10 sausages in the pack and only 3.5 syns for the whole pack, yum.

It's only the this natural one that's free others have syns. Your drumsticks should be fine if you removed the skin.
Its 4 syns for 50 mls for port neat or with diet mixer. Enjoy!:D
Your menu looks fine to me meg, and you're right the stockpots are free. I'm assuming you're having syn free yogurt. Your HEA (Dairylea) and HEB (Ryvita) don't seem to be the full portion. Is there a reason for this or have I missed something?
MrsR, I don't spend anything like £100 a week to feed the two of us, probably closer to £50. That doesn't include wine syns or any meals out we have but it does include all cleaning stuff and basic toiletries. I think the problem may be because you have limited cooking facilities. I probably save by cooking from scratch and batch cooking HM ready meals and freezing portions of meat or anything else that I buy when YS or on offer. It does need a bit of shopping around but mainly Aldi and Sainsbury's and other shops when I'm near them (Farmfoods, Iceland, Asda, £ shops etc).
You've done well there meg. I like to have a good stock of easy meals in the freezer, then not tempted to get a take away. I'm going to make a big pot of red cabbage later.0
