Another wagon faller here today. I'd done so well then I went to see a friend and it was sunny and long story short, there was a lot of synning.

I'm looking forward to the end of the football season, as is my liver.

Weigh in to face the music tomorrow but I suspect it will be a 'one at a time' response from the scales :(

    This:

    1 can mixed bean salad
    1 can green lentils
    2 cans chopped tomatoes
    1 can baked beans
    Handful of split lentils
    2 large leeks
    1 large onion
    4 medium carrots
    2 parsnips
    Green, red & yellow pepper
2 beef or chicken or vegetable stock cubes
    Salt pepper
    Mixed herbs
Water (enough to cover all ingredients)

Simmer til soft, blend if you like...

I sprinkle a few crushed chillies in and crush in a couple of garlic cloves. Enough for a week there and it gets the, erm, metabolism going...

AKA speed soup! I wish it wasn't already in my diet ( 5 times a week!) but it is, so sadly I can't add it. I think my problem is the addition of scan bran and the fact I'm not used to it. Kiwis worked a treat today so might have one a day from now on.
Thanks for the post though and the addition of chillies, I will try them tomorrow when it cook up my next batch

Wizkid do you have the SW books, or are you able to access the online site for the lists of Healthy Extras? Generally speaking, you have to have a high fibre bread to count as a healthy extra, so any wholemeal bread (5 syns or 1 HeB per slice from an 800g loaf or 60g roll). The only white bread on the list is the new Allinson loaf that has wholemeal in it. Any other white bread is too processed, and has too little fibre in it to give you any benefit.

Hi Sary,,,I have the 2008 books I couldn't do it then and I can't do it now. I must be a bit thick anyway because I still don't fully understand it now. I have the EE book too that's a little better to grasp but I look at some of the members and what they eat ie choc, curly wurlies etc and they lose. I don't eat any at all except the odd sugar free cough sweet when needed. In two years I have yo yo'd with 2 lb. 2 off 2 on. I like my bread and potatoes they are my downfall. I don't like veg only peas carrots frozen mixed veg from Tesco lettuce and tomatoes mushrooms and beetroot. Any other veg I will have in soup ( blended ) So you can imagine what I am like just a faddy, fusspot.
I will keep trying though. And please keep checking me out and if I'm wrong please tell me.
What is this white bread that has fibre like wholemeal?
I also make my own... Is that allowed? Half and half.

    -4 please Shala :j

That's the two pound gain from last week banished plus a further two.

Not quite sure what is going on as I ruined it all yesterday, which I can only assume just hasn't stuck to my stomach yet, but it is also * week.

I have a week to make up for yesterday anyway, so onwards and upwards.

B - Poached eggs, beans, toast, fruit
    D - SS Soup
    T - Speedy bolognese

    HEXA - Milk
    HEXB - 2 x bread

Syns - Options 2 and possibly a chocolate biscuit if I feel that way inclined, * week does that to me...

Hope you can all get to enjoy the longer weekend. Doesn't seem like 5 minutes since we had the last one. No plans here, but just happy to be.

And I feel as if I've not got properly on track ever since!:(

I seem to have been doing shopping in bits and pieces when what I normally do is a weekly meal plan and weekly shop. Too much eating out and scratch meals from what I've got in.

Just back from three days away eating rubbish and really need to draw that line. I'm feeling bloated, clothes feel tight plus I've had catarrh/sinus issues for what feels like weeks. I'm a real ray of sunshine.;)

I'm going to go out and buy plenty of veg later so at least I can stay properly on plan for the next couple of days.

    Today's EE menu:
B: HEB Shreddies with HEA milk
L: tomato omelette with pickled onions
D: roast beef, roast potatoes and parsnips, carrots, cabbage
Syns: gravy and maybe sprinkle of cheese on omelette
