  • Hugs to all those being bothered by the black dog at the moment.

I'm another one who has experienced family negativity. Before I lost weight the first time, my Mum actually introduced me to someone as "this is my daughter, not the skinny pretty one!" Then when I got to target, she'd try to get me to eat cake etc as I was "looking ill". Unfortunately, I ate the cake, and now I have it all to lose again  Xx

Tomorrow is a new day Beanie, but I'm sorry you've had to deal with rubbish, along with a funeral today. Have been thinking of you x

To those dealing with difficult times right now, I do hope there is light at the end of the tunnel for you soon. Life is full of ups and downs, and while the downs aren't always the easiest to get through, it does make you appreciate when you're on the up. I never take anything in life for granted, and try to appreciate whatever I have each day at a time.

Have had a reasonable day today, and calling it Green day

    B - porridge (HeB1), milk from (HeA1)
    L - wm bread (HeB2 & 5 syns), poached eggs
D - Linda Mccartney onion & rosemary sausages, mash, gravy (1.5), 1 pork sausage (2)
    HeA2 - milk in tea/coffee

Not had any fruit today, as I've been quite busy so just stopped to eat main meals. Feel a bit peckish now, but think I'm actually just craving something sweet, so am going to resist.

Last few days have included more bread than I would usually have in a week, so am worried it might affect my loss this week, despite being within plan. Will try to avoid it over the weekend if possible.

I've actually got the big freezer finally emptied and currently defrosting. It's like a big iceberg in the utility room, and taking ages to melt. Will be nice to have some room to store food, and actually be able to see it at last.

News on eldest son, who has been ill. He saw his consultant a couple of weeks ago, and was told he has something called cyclical vomiting syndrome, which there's no cure for, and we just have to hope improves. He went back to work, but they've been applying lots of pressure on him, which has made his sickness worse, and effectively he's been constructively forced to resign. So he's now got what could be a permanent condition, and no job or income :/ I had wanted him to stay as long as possible at his job, and get pushed, so he could at least have applied for jobseekers, but think the pressure he was under was more than he could deal with. Hard when you're young to see the wood for the trees.

Hope you can all get to enjoy the longer weekend. Doesn't seem like 5 minutes since we had the last one. No plans here, but just happy to be.

Thank you all for your kind words, I know other animal lovers can appreciate what a big hole our cat has left, I'm also dealing with grief as an adult for the first time, to say its been tough is an understatement :(

Things didn't get much better for me at WI either, having ploughed myself into exercise and being really good food wise, I was absolutely gutted with a 2lb gain. I broke down in group and loads of support which was nice. I'm not going to let it effect me, I ate a Wispa bar as my treat, and got straight back into it. I'm back on with my 30 day shred in a bit. And determined to have a loss next week.

Hugs to those that need it at the moment

I hope everyone enjoys the bank holiday weekend

Apparently I've put on 2lb but i don't know how. As I was a stay at home mum before and I'm now a little more active doing a dinner lady job my friend says that could be affecting it and to se how I'm doing in a couple of weeks when my body get used to it....could this be true or just an excuse?

I was told this in group last night. I've upped my exercise in the last week and been 100% on plan so to get a gain was a proper slap in the face! It should settle down next week by continuing what you're doing and upping your water intake.

Good evening everyone! Sorry to read that some of you are struggling at the moment. I hope things get better for you all. Well done to all the losers.

I am pleased to announce a loss of 3lb this week. I'm not quite sure how this has happened as I had a sneaky weigh 2 days ago and it was showing a sts. So, I am thrilled with that loss.

Bought myself a wagamama cookbook so I can make my own lower syn versions. Made the ginger chicken udon tonight, which was really good and only about 4 syns (compared to 19 in the restaurant!). Also made some jelly sweets. Have eaten about 1/2 syn worth and they are a good cure for a sweet tooth. Also treated myself to 2 mini donuts (4 syns each).

Can anybody recommend a good diet ginger ale? I tried the Morrison's one tonight but it doesn't taste of much. I love ginger, so am looking for quite a strongly flavoured one if anybody can help?
