Hi all - forum's been done so a very late post, with not much thought to it. Sorry.

    Review of Monday's Plan
    Breakfast: yogurt & grapes
Lunch: out with friend - prawn & cucumber cocktail, roast lamb, swede, carrot, potatoes & one roastie, wee bit of tablet with my tea - guessing 7syns
Dinner: fish pie, mixed veg, beetroot -had red cabbage instead of mixed veg & beetroot + daughter sent grandson with a hm cheesecake as part of mothers' day gift, so had a wee bit, particularly to keep 5yo happy (it was tasty, but no idea of syns)
Snacks: 1 wee hexb toast with little butter and 1 hexb Alpen Light bar (no hexas)

    Total syns 7+++++++
Hasn't improved chances for good WI tomorrow :(

    Tuesday's plan - family dinner
    breakfast:fruit, 2 x hexb Ryvita, quark
    lunch: butternut squash soup
    dinner:boeuf bourgignon, potatoes, broccoli, carrots

    Night all.

Sary - Come on now you can get back on it! You need to forget about McDonalds lol

Mrs Ryan - Hugs, hope you are feeling better

Lurkers - get posting - I miss your chat!! :)

Well my little black dog is still here lol but not wagging his tail just as ferociously lol.

Was given a right rollicking last night from the mothership about looking too thin now - can't win!!!! My stomach dictates that I am not thin lol.

Went to Primark last night to get a pair of cheap black trousers for work. Happy to report that the 12's were fine - I'm usually a size or two bigger in Primarks clothes.

Anyway least I'll not be exposing myself to anyone today lol xx
  • Shala I'm not weighing in this week so I'll be a STS thanks.

Have been off the wagon over the weekend, but got a long day at work today so I'll make sure I take plenty of SW food with me. Need to stay on track the next few days as we are away at the weekend and it'll be hard to stay on plan...

Morning all!! I am going to try and catch up on what I've missed on the thread but looks like I'm going to need a couple of hours to do it!!

Back to earth with a bump after a week of glorious sunshine in Tenerife, pleased to report that despite the temptations of the all inclusive I pretty much managed to stay on plan. I went MAD the first night because I was so hungry after travelling, had two platefuls of food (inc chips and mash) and then icecream and pudding - I ate so much I had to have a lie down afterwards and felt AWFUL so had a wee word with myself. Allowed myself a few treats, but made up for it by success expressing a lot of meals. I weighed myself on the scales for the cases at the hotel and had lost 2lbs so was pretty chuffed.

However, I've run 2 packs of the pill together, so woke up today feeling really bloated and * type pains in my tummy because my body is confused so I think I'm showing a gain now. I'm just going to avoid the scales for the next few days because I have this every few weeks and it doesn't reflect whether or not I have been sticking to plan. Gonna try and success express quite a lot this week too because it does really seem to boost me.

    Today will be green

    B: Weetabix, milk (HEXA/B)
L: Quorn chilli (2) loads of superfree veg
D: Veg curry with superfree veg

Yogs, fruit and sf jelly for snacks. Curly Wurly for a treat.

Have a great day folks, it's really good to be back!!xxxxx

    Hmmm, food for thought?

Have read on the SW site that not eating enough can slow weight loss down... I wonder if this could be the case with me as I have noticed that my portions of things like meat, potatoes, pasta or rice are similar in size, or just a tiny bit more, to what is allowed as a HEB. This isn't done intentionally, it's just what I would normally put on my plate and eat. These amounts do seem to fill me but should I really be eating more of them when they are free foods?

    Morning All

I was very disappointed with WI last night 0.5lb LOSS please Shala. My consultant has said she thinks I am being too strict, & has advised me to relax a bit & also to try eat 5 times a day (I am 3 meals). I get up at 6 but dont eat breakfast until around 10 when I get into work, then lunch & dinner & thats it!

It is also * week but I am not using that as an excuse. I pulled out my food diary from my first week when I lost 4.5lb & am going to follow that (roughly). I was so disheartened last night. I need 2lb to get the 1st stone award & I started 7th January & have only lost 12lb :(. So much for mixing up Healthy extras & I counted every single morsel that passed my lips, only unplanned day was Sunday out for Mothers day but surely that would not reflect only 0.5 loss, now I wish I had ate the bloomin fish supper on Friday!!!

    EE Today :-

B - Frozen Berries, natural yoghurt, kiwi
L - Salmon (1 syn for tomato sauce), lettuce, cucumber, peppers, mayo (0.5 syns), WM Pitta (HEB), activia yoghurt
Snack - Melon, strawberries, pineappple, blueberries
    D - Bolognese Bake (HEA),side of broccoli & cauliflower
    Snack - Yoghurt, Banana

    Have a good day everyone x :T

Think I'm going to just have to except the fact that I'm just not going to be as strict at the weekend as I can be during the week.
We are sooooo busy with football every weekend, training, matches & watching (all 3 children so A LOT of juggling) so although I was good not eating any junk food, the lack of superfrees could effect how quick this weight comes off.
Plus I did indulge in red wine once we eventually sat down (to watch Liverpool play!) but again usually I'd have crisps or cook up something like nuggets for late night snacks, instead I tucked into LO roast chicken & that was it.
Yesterday lacked superfrees too, example, Mr Christmas came home after football training with a chinese for everyone .... I didn't touch it & instead had steak & SW chips... no salad or veg though.

I cannot recommend the 21 day matured steak from ALdi enough. It was mouth watering & was half the price of the other supermarkets. £3.70ish if my memory serves me correct.
Sprinkled some crushed garlic over the chips before they went in the oven & then brushed it off when they came out. Left a lovely hint behind.

Weigh in tomorrow but it's *week for me too so we'll see :snow_laug

Today looks a lot like this
    d: milk (hea) coffee, tea.
B:banana, apple, satsuma, muller light, alpen light bar (heb)
L:Ham roll ups with LF cottage cheese, pickles.
T:Wholewheat spaghetti, with roasted tomato & chilli, mackerel/sardines stirred through.

When I get more time I'll post a list of some free foods at Iceland I found on the net. Not sure how up to date it is but it would be handy for me to have some freezer snack food in.

Well done to those who have lost, sending strength vibes to those who need them. "Chins up!" ;)

Life is life & situations will arise & get in the way.
I'm not perfect so'll just try & do my best today.....:xmassmile

You have dragged me out of 'lurking mode' macpep :o. Very embarrassed that I haven't posted for ages - life gets so busy sometimes and usually this thread moves so fast I can't keep up.

Just to update everyone as I haven't been posting for ages - I am still at the lower end of my target range and am managing fairly OK by sticking to plan but with low syns (up to 5 per day) during the week and then 'relaxing' somewhat at the weekends.

Congrats to lantanna for the size 12 knickers and now trousers too - you are doing so well :T
