Hope you don't mind me posting on your thread but have been reading it avidly for the last few days and have built up the confidence to post.
I managed to lose a dress size from 18 to 16 just by cutting out the rubbish but I would love to be a 14 if not smaller for my summer hols. So ive started slimming world.
Would you lovely peeps be able to tell me if im on the right track here?
Today: Brunch: Jacket potato and baked beans with mushrooms (cooked without anything), reduced fat cheese sprinkled on the top (hexa) and rocket/tomato salad
snack: 4 pieces from a left over garlic baguette (put in the fridge last night after dinner with friends and sort of fell into my mouth today grrr) Online says its 4.5syns for 3 pieces of this so 4 would be 6syns?
ryvita minis salt and vinegar (hexb)
Dinner: Stroganoff made using beef (all visibile fat removed), mushrooms and 0%greek yoghurt and fried in frylight with onions and herbs served with leek and rice
pudding: strawberries
What do you guys think? sorry its such a long post! xx
Welcome to the thread, your menu looks good to me, I take it you are doing EE? You will get loads of advice & support on here. Maman is usually good at scrutinising menu's :Tveyrongirl wrote: »Hi everyone, I am looking for advice.
I did SW years ago (red/green days) and lost 6st, unfortunately my Mum died and I lost the plot, regained the weight and then some. I have since done RC (lost 4st) and WW (lost 6st again) and now most of it is back on again.
I cannot go on like this, I look in the mirror and see a fat, hideous monster. I am thinking of doing SW again, however I am now vegetarian, is the eating plain veggy friendly? I also have the problem that I work 5.30-9.30pm so meal times tend to be strange.
Thanks for any advice you can offer
Lynn
Welcome to the thread, I am not vegetarian so cannot comment but there are days when I don't eat any meat at all so I would say so, do you eat dairy & fish?:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

Hi all,
I hope you don't mind me joining you guys on here. I have been reading through a lot of this thread and really like the support you give each other.
I decided in January while on holiday that I needed to lose some weight due to my wife and I having a 6 month old baby. I started to eat healthier and do a bit more exercise from the 20th January with the support of SW. I already play football and train once a week so was doing about 4hrs exercise a week. I now walk the dog for between 3-5 miles every morning at 5.30am before work, doing it in 15 minute miles and also bought a cross trainer and do two sessions a week of 90 mins.
On my last weigh in I managed to lose 5lb this week.
My total loss since I started 8wks ago is 3 stone 3.8lbs so just about 46lb.
I am really pleased with the loss but I am now struggling to find nice things to eat that aren't boring, fruit and Mullerlight yogurts are making me feel sick just to look at them.
Anyway hopefully I will get the support here and can also help support others.0 -

I'd suggest that you still follow Green as it seems like the best one for veggies. That way you get two lots of HEs every day and it's not so strict on the amount of superfree fruit and veg you need. Are you going to join a group? Although the consultant will probably only do Extra Easy in the introductory talk you'll get a new set of up to date books.bookworm_nat123 wrote: »So ive started slimming world.

That looks fine to me, but thank goodness all that garlic bread's gone! Next time, give your visitors a doggy bag.;)
It's not a good idea to miss breakfast on a regular basis but if you had a late night it's understandable.Hi all,

That's brilliant tich. I know others will be green with envy at your rapid weightloss but you're very welcome all the same.:)
I don't eat yogurt because I don't like it and I don't have much fruit mainly due to laziness (I need someone to peel it for me:D) but I manage to eat fine. It'll be good to know what sort of menu you plan for yourself. Are you having all your syns? I'm asking because it's possible to lose to start with by just eating less and maybe that's what you're fed up with. Give us an idea of the sort of foods you like and what you're missing from previously. Most recipes can be adapted to be SW friendly.
MY EE menu today:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: cold ham, bubble& squeak (potato, cauli, broccoli and red cabbage) with pickled onions, bananaSW Bolognese
Syns: squirt of syrup, scrape of parmesan0 -
Hi everyone! I am back from holiday and am slowly catching up on all your posts.
I must confess I haven't stuck to plan whilst I have been away. I had croissants with jam for breakfast most mornings, sandwiches for lunch a 3 course meal every evening. Whilst I made sensible choices for my mains, most starters and puds were full of cream, butter or something equally naughty! I did however stop eating when I was full and resisted any ice cream or popcorn whilst we were in the parks. I am astounded to sayi have lost 1lb!
I'm sure all the walking helped but Im hoping it doesn't catch up with me next week. Back on plan today:
B: banana
L: wholemeal roll with lean ham, salad & very low fat mayoroast pork, potatoes, broccoli and any other veg I can find

Hello and welcome to you and all the newbies today!
I'm vegetarian and find the Green plan brilliant. I don't eat meat or fish but I love dairy, and the fact that you can eat pasta, rice and potatoes freely is a big plus for me. I like to feel full.
Quorn mince, chicken or beef style pieces and sweedish meatballs are free. The very low fat sausages are free and most of the other Quorn sausages are 1 syn each. The frozen quarter pounds are lush for half a syn each. Linda McCartney Red onion and thyme sausages are also syn free.
Let me know if I can help with anything. Don't forget you get 2 HEAs and 2 HEBs on green.
Welshkitty that's great news that you lost while on holiday!Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
